Limited access issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Yoga only has one USB port. Issue is most DVD drives require two USB ports. Also no builtin memory card reader and no HDMI. Bottom-line its a thinner PC but you still have to drag around a HUB which defeats the purpose of a 2 in 1 laptop. Its my third Lenovo and my last.

Fabulous
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop fulfills all of my needs. I purchased it on tax-free weekend along with a $125 student discount. My needs: Long lasting battery, ultraportable design, backlit keyboard Chassis: the all-aluminum frame is fantastic. This laptop looks and feels the part. Keys: For the average person, you won't feel that there isn't as much travel as necessary for some of us. However, the keys are grippy and a delight to use. Backlighting is toggled through the F key and space bar. Trackpad: Super smooth. Great improvement over the 710s clunky-feeling one. Furthermore, the fingerprint reader is delightful. Screen: The colours don't look perfect. There are some minor issues with blue-looking blacks at certain angles. Although, for the price I paid, it is absolutely fine. Hardware: The intel i5 does the job. 4GB ram is a little less than I would expect for a machine at this price, but honestly it is just fine for multitasking. If you're going to university only for 3 years like I am, it is totally acceptable. The 128GB SSD is also very small, but use the cloud properly and all is well. Try to leave as much space on it as possible. The laptop did not get hot after installing some windows updates, although did warm up slightly. Features: Between the fingerprint reader and USB-C charging port, and ultraportable design, I don't think there's a better deal on the market right now.

Stupid Fast, nice feel. Heavy for a tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a great deal on this; a tick over $300.00 with an extended warranty added. Normally it's almost $900.00 list. Was an open box in addition to being on sale. The biggest thing that drives me over the edge is the positioning of the shift key, enter key and page up key. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Why anyone would mess with the established format baffles me completely. That said, the keyboard has a nice solid key feel, and the backlit keys (one of my requirements) are great. Also like the dawn to dusk light dimming feature, which makes it easy on the eyes for extended use. I have to mention the reviews I've read about fan noise. I hear nothing even resembling fan noise, loud or otherwise. Did mine get left out? A couple more cons in addition to the key placement issue. Using this as a tablet is a huge exercise in optimism and sheer strength. It's way too big screen wise, and way too heavy to hold comfortably in tablet mode. The other complaint is that it's very difficult to open; there is no indentation to make it easier to grab. I'd have given it 5 stars except for the above at the complaints. For the money I paid, I feel this is more than a good value. The speed is amazing. Even at the almost $900.00 dollar mark, it would be a good choice compared to what is out there. It also has the NVIDIA GEFORCE which I hear is a huge draw, but not being a gamer I have no idea what it does, or what the advantages are.

Posted .This is the new model Yoga 720-13. This model has the full-sized Rt. Shift Key, on a standard 13" QWERTY keyboard. The Yoga 720-13 weighs 2.87 lbs. and measures 0.6" thin. It operates very well in tablet mode. This model does not have the NVIDIA GeForce GPU. Graphics processing within this configuration is integrated within the Intel Core I-5-7200U processor with Intel HD Graphics 620 processing.

Very Surprised, Great Quality for Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop for my 23 year old sister, who doesn't need much computing power. I'm a software engineer and technology enthusiast who usually buys very top-end expensive laptops to meet my needs. With that being said, I always look at sub-$1k laptops with some skepticism. The Lenovo Yoga 720, like my old T420s, is very well built. This feels like a much more expensive laptop. The physical build quality is excellent. The 2-in-1 flip feature feels solid. Windows did not come with much bloatware and feels very responsive. The Intel i5 processor and SSD help in regards to that. I would definitely consider getting one for myself, when I need a non-development computer just for carrying about my day.

Beware of buying a Lenovo Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mother board had to be replaced within 6 months of owning my expensive Yoga 3..it was under warranty so although upset about the quality of this expensive laptop, at least the repair was cover under the 1 year warranty. Because of my laptop breaking after only 6 months, I planned to purchase the extended warranty. Well with other issues going on in my life when the 1 year warranty expired, I missed the window of time to purchase the extended warranty. Well, 1 year and 3 months later, it broke again! It was the mother board AGAIN! There were issues with the Geek squad trying to determine exactly what was wrong with it. I was told the Hard drive first, so I had to pay $250 to have a data recovery done. Then Geek squad told me it was the mother board again. Either way Lenovo would not stand behind their product. It cost me almost $500 between diagnostic testing and data recovery and an external hardrive (and that did not include the cost of repairing my laptop, that would have cost another $500!!!)...so I continued trying to get someone at Lenovo to step up and stand behind the product, but even after having the issues escalated to a manager all they did was call me back to tell me they do not bend their rules and because it was out of warranty, they would not do anything about it. So BUYER BEWARE!

Love my new 2 in 1
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just learning all there is about this new laptop. The only thing that I dislike about it is the button to turn it on, I find it too hard, small and almost invisible, I literally had to look for the instructions to turn it on. Other than that it is excellent!! Also adjusting to the keyboard.

Nice 2 in 1 but!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It lacks a broad section of interfaces. Oly one USB 3 port so if you use a DVD reader most of them require two USB ports, NO built in SD card reader, NO built in LAN Connection, NO built in HDMI. If you need any one of these interfaces you'll need to carry around a HUB or adapters!! Not good I'm returning mine.

Fan is way too loud
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to immediately return the laptop because the fan was so loud and seemed to never stop running. It was loud enough to become noticeable to other students in the classroom.

Touchpad stopped working after 1 day of use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this laptop for less than 24 hours. when I lock the laptop and unlock it, the touchpad and mouse cursor are not working anymore. I googled the problem and this seems to be a regular problem with Lenovo.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 720-13. With regard to the touchpad not functioning, try hitting the HotKey in the F6 position. This toggles the touchpad on/off. It sounds like the touchpad was turned off.

Soldered RAM
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike the 15" version the 13" 720 has soldered RAM making it impossible to upgrade. If you wish to purchase this laptop make sure you go with the 8GB version instead as you will easily run out of RAM.

This computer crashed my modem
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I booted this computer up, I loved it. But then when I connected it to the internet, my modem crashed. I spent hours on the phone with IT trying to test the connection and the modem. They couldn't figure it out. I started doing research on forums and turns out Lenovo Yoga computers have had this problem in the past. They have a program running in the background called discover.exe that crashes the modem. When I turn the computer off, my modem reboots and the internet works. I'm returning it tomorrow. Very disappointed that this computer didn't work out because it really was nice.

Posted .There may be wireless LAN driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Warped laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the laptop new from my local Best Buy, promptly returned it after discovering that the entire laptop was slightly warped- it wobbled just enough to make a clunk every time I typed on the keyboard; Google tells me this is not an unusual problem. Other than that, I found the non-rectangular keyboard keys to be awkward and the touchpad– like every non-Mac touchpad I tried at Best Buy– to be poorly made: "clicking" the button-side (bottom) of the touchpad caused the cursor to move slightly.
