This time BestBuy was willing to exchange, didn't want same model so went with the newer one, cost me about $110 bucks.. Wish us luck.

Fan noise was awful and almost constant

This was my first Lenovo. I loved how thin and lightweight this computer was but will be returning it due to the noise of the fan. My old laptop didn't start making fan noise like that until it was 5 years old.

    So frustrating!!

I'm starting to really hate this laptop. The internet connection is very poor! What's the point in having a nice laptop if the internet doesn't work?! I've already tried updating the WLAN driver and the internet is still slow. It's not my Wi-Fi either I had a different Lenovo before this and the internet never slowed. The fan is also very annoying because it turns on and works hard when the only thing I have open is a Word Document. I really wish I had returned this laptop and gotten another one but best buy only gives you 15days to return (I thought 30). For $900, It's not worth it.

    Can't use Wi-Fi

If you want to access internet, forget it. This device has VERY POOR Wi-Fi connectivity. Even my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has far better connection. I have to sit directly next to the wireless router to be able to use internet. Also, when I use Google Chrome, pages will frequently freeze and make it unable to type anything until I switch to a different screen. For the price, this is a very poorly made laptop. The only good thing about it is its sleek and lightweight design

With regard to the WiFi connectivity issues you mention with your device, there may be Wireless LAN driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Could not get online

Nice screen, okay keyboard feel, touchy touchpad. Biggest problem was it would not connect to the wireless network in my house, although several other devices were working fine. No legacy USB3 ports, so you need to buy (and carry) an adapter. No ethernet port, so you need to buy (and carry) an adapter. Wasted three hours including on phone with Geek Squad; was told to bring unit it for 20 minute appointment. Decided it wasn't worth the trouble and returned it.

Bad quality control hits another promising machine

I'm not sure that PC manufacturers understand the idea of quality control. While the Yoga 720 looks great online and in person, it immediately displays three issues: (1) The trackpad, like many PC laptops using cheap Synaptics trackpads, is loose, and emits a loud noise even when lightly tapping it. This demonstrates a clear lack of attention to detail and no user testing on Lenovo's end. (2) The bottom plate sticks out of the edges, and is sharp. You will notice this every time you pick the machine up. (3) The black plastic display bezel near the two bottom microphones bows out enough to where you'll notice its unevenness when using the laptop normally. If you don't care about small details, this might be a good 2-in-1. If you do care, then skip this.

    Great except for weak WiFi

Didn't see a review on the known WiFi issue but the Qualcomm Atheros WiFi card will give you the speed of the early 2000s. Just bought it, read about the problem, experienced it, now going back for something else. Yes I'm techie..

Lasted two days before failing to open

Spent several days shopping and reading reviews, and decided to "upgrade" from my usual cheap laptops in order to have a trouble-free experience. Had the computer for two days before it would not open and had to have Windows reinstalled. This computer has been a complete headache. I wish I had bought something for $150 that might actually work. Disgusted beyond words.

It sounds like there is a software conflict issue that caused the restoring of Windows operating system. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. lenovo

    DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP!

Purchased for daughter in college. Set up, connected to wifi, did some work, screen went black. Tried troubleshooting w/her. Nothing helped problem. Googled "Lenovo 720 black screen" to find out this is a common defect w/Lenovo's. Most people, past return period, ship to Lenovo for repair. Screen/lid issue. BestBuy should not be selling a computer w/know defect!

We are sorry you are having an issue with your Yoga 720-13. Since you able to do work initially, this sounds like it may be a software based issue. This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. lenovo

Never wrote a bad review before. This laptop is terrible. In 6 months it has had a new motherboard, new SSD and other components. Not sure what will fail next. Love BestBuy to take this back. Lenovo out did themselves with this design. Junk
