Powerful but compact machine

The only gripe i have is that the battery life is not as long as the reviews I read prior to purchasing. I am getting 4 hrs on a charge. I like the digitizer pen function that I purchased separately (lenovo pen). It is a very nice addition to the functionality of the touch screen. The screen is crystal clear and very responsive to touch. The back lit keys are really a great feature that you wouldnt expect at this price point of a computer. Getting used to the lightning plug, though I wish it had more USB. I am not convinced the lightning plug is the future at this time. Final thoughts: A great lightweight and compact computer.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 720-13. This model has a battery life of up to 8 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. Check your Task Manger at idle to be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background on your device. At idle, CPU usage should be no more than 2 to 5%. If there are no unwanted programs running, try a hard reset of the non-removable battery. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My other laptop broke as I had spilled water onto it and had the geek squad repair center fix it up, I needed a laptop in the mean time and decided to pick this up. I knew at the time that the new 8th processors rolled out and wanted to pick up one of the new laptop's with the 8th gen processors in it. I decided to go with this laptop because it was lightweight (~2.7 lbs), had the new 8th gen processor (I got the i5-8250u, the i7-8550u was a 30% performance increase for $300/$400 more but I had no use as the i5 was plenty enough for me), had a small screen (13.3"), and a 256 ssd (plenty for college docs and programs). This is the formula for the perfect college laptop. The plan was to return the laptop once my original laptop came back from the repair but I'm planning on keeping it.

This system uses 802.11AC WiFi, the newest and fastest version of WiFi. Your can check for driver updates for the Yoga 720-13 also. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:

None have even come close to this yet. Setup took 15 minutes and have not yet had an issue yet. Long battery life and you actually get the battery life that is listed unlike most. Speed and internet connection is flawless. My favorite aspect of it is the start up. Whether it has died and you just plugged it in or whether it’s been “shut down” for a week, it literally opens up fully immediately with no drag in loading and rebooting or having to wait for it to charge for a little bit before you can power on... it literally opens up immediately. More than pleased with this purchase..
