I love it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is a great value for the price. It's sleek, light, and perfect for students. I use tablet mode often to take/add to notes in class. It's great because not only is it a light computer, but it also allows me to keep all my notes in one place. The drawing capabilities make it so I never have to have a note book for drawing diagrams or board problems. The only thing I don't care for is that the power button is on the side so I accidentally turn my computer off quite often but thankfully the solid state helps it boot up quickly. Overall a really great computer.

Very good, battery life needs work
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this in December 2017. I have really liked the overall performance and features. Good quality screen, keyboard, wifi and cpu. Main concern is the battery life. I get an average of 6 hours on normal, not too heavy, web use. That is after I opted to disable the Lenovo Yoga Mode Control Service which will eat up a continuous 3-4% of CPU usage otherwise lowering the battery life even further. I even did a clean install and still had the same battery drain from the YMC service, even with latest BIOS and drivers. Lenovo should really work harder to prevent such poor drivers. Also, for whatever reason it seems thermal throttle issues do not allow for this CPU to give its maximum performance possible. Having said that, the performance is quite good on everyday usage. Overall a very good laptop but with some Lenovo tweaking it could be better.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 720-13. This system has a battery life of up to 8 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. You can be sure you have the latest BIOS/Driver updates, some of which effect battery performance. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window. Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. Additionally, to maximize battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.

Hard to beat for the money!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was not really on my radar. I intended to spend over a $1000 on an ultrabook, but then saw this. It checked all boxes I was looking for: Thunderbolt 3 i5 8th gen processor USB-C Charging IPS Display @1080p Fast SSD Don't think another laptop exists with these specs at this price point. Keyboard (seems some of the inputs don't register every time, could be the way I type) is my least favorite component, but I don't do much typing so not an issue. Happy with this purchase so far.

Very Poor Wifi Radio
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I REALLY wanted to love it. The construction of it is beautiful, the weight is nice and light, and the keyboard comfortable to type on. But the deal-breaker that forced me to send it back: the WiFi radio was extremely poor. On the same network, in the same location in my house, within a few minutes of each test, my MacBook Pro pulled down 95mbps. The Lenovo pulled down 5mpbs. That's right. Single digit: 5. In all honesty, there's probably something wrong with the unit, but as I had also intended to put Linux on this machine and I read that there were issues with it, I opted to just return the computer. Wish it worked out, though. So nice otherwise!

Was great while it worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Difficult review because after purchase in July 2017, has worked very well and no complaints. Partly frustrated with Lenovo and partly with Geek Squad service. Performed well for home use until April 2018. Started shutting down every few minutes when using battery. Was fine when plugged in. Took to Geek squad and they attempted BiOS update which did not solve problem. Conclusion: problem with the battery and we will have to send out. So far, so good- but turn around time is 2-3 weeks! I use this device for calendar, email, paying bills, etc and now I have to give it up for 2-3 weeks with no alternative or compensation for inconvenience. I decided to just accept it and took it home and just use it while plugged in, only to find when I got home that windows would not open. Not sure if this was caused by the BiOS update or what, but I couldnt even log in and my only option to move forward was to "reset" the computer and reinstall Windows and also reinstall all of my software (Webroot, Office, etc) AND in the process, apparently lost my calendar and contacts because OIutlook now uses a .ost file which is not backed up by Carbonite. And now the fan seems to be getting louder and running much more frequently than it used to before the reset. All in all, this has been a very frustrating experience with Lenovo (the battery malfunctions in less than a year and I have to surrender my laptop for several weeks to get it fixed) and the Geek Squad. Now that fan is acting up, I will probably send out for repair, but big inconvenience. I am still a Best Buy guy for AV, but will not be going back for computer needs.

Do Not Buy - Touchscreen Issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this for my wife as a birthday gift, I never splurge on tech, but this looked like a really nice computer and I wanted to get her something really special. everything looked OK until it automatically updated, then the touchscreen stopped working. I spent 6 hours with Lenovo support trying to fix, THE SAME DAY I UNBOXED IT!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS? Lenovo told me to do a system restore / factory reset to get touch screen back. I asked what about updates? they said if you want the touchscreen to work, don't update. SERIOUSLY? $900 for a 2 in 1 that if it updates, loses the touch screen, the entire purpose of a 2 in 1?! OMG I can not box this thing back up fast enough to get it back to BB for a refund. NO LENOVO EVER AGAIN! Lenovo will reply to this review with a link to driver updates that don't exist for this box. Horrible customer experience! Stay Away from this device: 81C3000LUS

Worst product and worst technical support.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within few weeks of purchase, I started observing heavy battery discharge even in shutdown state of laptop. when I called Lenovo tech support, they said it is windows10 problem. then I checked with Microsoft team, they verified my laptop and said that, it is not windows10 issue. then I was to call Lenovo tech support again, then the technician connected to my machine remotely and did some settings to solve the problem which eventually did not solve the issue, so I was to call them again, then they said it should be diagnosed in service center so I should either send it to Lenovo service center or best buy geek squad, I choose the second option and gave it to geek squad. Then they found that it is a battery issue and replaced the battery and shipped back to me. As still problem persists, I must send this laptop back to Lenovo service center again. Don’t know this time at least it will get fixed or not. With all these delay, I even lost the opportunity of returning this laptop (the card I used to purchase has 90 days return policy).

unstable bluetooth connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used the Lenovo Yoga 720 13.3" Laptop for 4 months. The overall performance is good for the purchase price. The major defect is that the Bluetooth connection to my portable speaker, keyboard, and mouse is unreliable. The peripherals are dropped for less than a minute and then reconnected on a regular basis. The behavior is really annoying. My wifi connection is stable. The other questionable behavior is that the laptop will shutdown if left ON or in standby overnight while on AC power.

Thin & light that’s pretty much it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the worst computers you can buy. It’s a thin and light laptop but the fan turns on full blast for silly things. The battery life is abysmal. It’s honestly unpowered, putting it on performance doesn’t help.

Gets heated easily
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this laptop yesterday. After spending 24 hours with it i found it is getting heated for minimal jobs.I mainly do browsing and watch lot of videos online. The speakers are no that good even those are from JBL and Dolby is present in the system. The laptop is sleek in design and keyboard is good for typing. Final verdict:If you have another choice go for it.

Posted .This is a high performance, ultra portable, 2 in 1 system with its Quad-Core Intel Core i5-8250U processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. This system also has high performance audio with JBL stereo speakers and Dolby Audio Premium sound enhancement.

DO NOT BUY - SERIOUS TOUCH SCREEN DRIVER ISSUE!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When you first startup the machine with the version of Windows 10 it shipped with, it's fine but then you're forced to do an update to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. This update completely breaks the touch screen and the worst part is, Lenovo has been refusing to fix the problem for months now. Regardless of their claims they have released NO driver update for the screen to fix this issue - there is NO fix yet as of this post. This issue is well documented on Lenovo's own forums and across the web with no solutions. Some owners have been told to return the laptop by Lenovo, others have been told Microsoft has to fix the issue - don't hold your breath on that one. It isn't Microsoft's responsibility to fix/certify these drivers against a new build, it's Lenovo's and their partners. I work in IT and have tried any and all drivers and tricks to no avail. Best Buy should pull this computer from their shelves until this issue is dealt with and if Lenovo keeps refusing to fix their software issues, they should just get out of the hardware business. I'll be returning this to Best Buy tomorrow.

Would be great if it worked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really liked this laptop until the touchscreen stopped working. It's a common issue, and I've been through the hoops of trying to update drivers. It's a known issue according to several people who have contacted Lenovo support with no fix in sight. It's stupid to own a touchscreen laptop on which the touchscreen refuses to work with updated Windows and drivers.

Posted .This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the left side of the device, right near the headphone jack on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.
