||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It should be known that I registered the default Windows OS it comes with to my Microsoft account and then immediately formatted the PC with Linux (Fedora). IT comes loaded with some vendor software that I did not bother to look at. Overall, it performs very admirably. I am quite impressed with it. Quick, decent battery life, touch screen with a pen is awesome. and it folds into tablet mode. What's not to love? It's a great ultrabook style laptop. I highly recommend it. For anyone considering loading Ubuntu or Fedora on this laptop from personal experience I can tell you I had a few issues I needed to deal with to get it working. Firstly, you will need to disable Secure Boot in the BIOS (WARNING THIS WILL ERASE YOUR HDD COMPLETELY!!!) to get wifi working. You can install Linux with it enabled but it will likely affect your wifi hardware and prevent it from working. The next thing, on Ubuntu 18.04 I had to blacklist a kernel module ideapad to get WIFI working, this was not the case on Fedora 29 (dunno why). This was accomplished by running the command sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-ideapad.conf <<< "blacklist ideapad_laptop" The fingerprint reader does not work in Linux. Synaptic refuses to release drivers for it. Which I think Lenovo, being a supporter of Linux, should change hardware vendors in that case. The pen however works fantastic if you load on xOrg and not Wayland. Wayland is still to young to work properly IMHO on just about any device.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I bought this one I’m not happy, sales people says it’s high rated one but trust me guys it’s worthy I bought on jun 14 th I guess with 15 days my screen started acting weird and blinking very often, I went back to the store and the manager didn’t respond proper came up with some story that he fix it and I need to leave it for an week which made mad totally. Finally he gave new after I showed video proof, and the second one key pad cursor is moving one place to another place when try to prepare some documents or trying type something. I’m out of my patience guys. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS STUPID LAPTOP...

Posted .We are sorry to hear you are having issues with the touchpad on your Yoga 730-15. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

I spent a lot of time debating on whether or not to get a replacement for my tablet and this purchase is exactly what I wanted. I also purchased the Lenovo pen and it has been perfect for my needs. It's lightweight, portable, and very convenient. The keyboard has a great feel and it's easy to use. Didn't take any time getting used to the key layout. This is the perfect computer for on the couch web surfing to my daily work. I am a writer so I spend a significant amount of time on my yoga. The battery life is about 8-10 hours with heavy use and it recharges quickly. This was an excellent purchase and I cannot say enough good stuff about it. The ONLY drawback I can find is that the pen doesn't have a built-in space and the holder takes up one of the USB ports. But... so minor in the grand scheme of things.

I think a lot of the negative reviews come from people who don’t update their drivers and such, as I to had some problems with it out of the box, but they were all resolved once I updated my drivers. I purchased this laptop for school work and light web browsing. And I couldn’t be happier. I purchased it for about 830 dollars after tax, and I got 100 dollars off with the student discount. For the price, this laptop is amazing. I’ve been seeing a lot of people complain about the battery life, which I get up to 10 hours on battery saver mode and average about 7-8 hours on performance mode. Which is perfectly fine especially when it has lightning fast charging, I can get 2 hours of battery life in 15 minutes of charging, and it is fully charged within 45 minutes to 1 hour. The trackpad is excellent, probably the best I’ve ever used on a laptop. The i7 core is incredibly fast and is great for music production and photoshop. It’s also light as feather and has a great screen. I’m not thrilled about touchscreen and tablet support, but they work great and though I never really use them, their still a cool option to have. Overall, if you’re a student on a budget, you cannot go wrong with this laptop. I compared it to other laptops In the same price range and they were less powerful and more expsnive. I give the lonovo 730 15 i7 model a solid 8/10.

I'm surprised how much faster a solid state drive is. It opens big files significantly faster than my desktop. Even web surfing seems to be faster--which was unexpected. I haven't used it much as a tablet, but it's still a nice feature to have. I picked up a Lenovo digital pen and it works fine with MS Ink. The reason I came close to returning the tablet is that, out of the box, the WiFi was horrendous. It would drop about every ten minutes. Updating the drivers mostly fixed it. Every few days, the WiFi drops, but that's tolerable. Still, it's the one area where no laptop should skimp. The ASUS Transformer I had may have dropped WiFi a half dozen times in four years. The lid does slowly close on its own when at an angle that gravity can affect. When I say slow, I mean hours when it's not perpendicular to the ground. I don't consider this a problem and it may well be common with 2-1in-1s

As an engineering student I need my computer to be able to run intensive programs and have a decent battery life. This computer easily meets those criteria. The touch screen and tablet conversion modes are also useful.

Yoga 730 is not as compact as the Yoga 520 but its not bulky and heavy like others. Of course it is due to a lot of plastic used in the construction but it seems justified provided the price point. The touchscreen is good and so is the sound and battery life. Updated processor, ram and the ssd works as advertised. The laptop feels great to use in all situations My only qualm is the hinges of the laptop which makes me uneasy. the yoga 520 had a better hinge in my opinion. However I don't think that should be a deal breaker for anyone.

This one runs quickly and can handle a lot of windows and applications running at the same time. I like the touch screen feature, as well as being able to fold it into tablet mode. I bought the pen that goes with it, which I would also recommend. My only complaint with this computer (and other Lenovos I've used) is that the fans kick in pretty easily, though it's not a huge issue. Just an annoyance at times. Overall, I'd recommend it.

It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. I find it comfortable to type on, the backlit keyboard is a nice feature and it is just a solid feeling laptop. What I don’t like is the WiFi card. Once I got it home I had constant WiFi drops, about every 3 minutes. I upgraded my home router, but that did not help. After playing with the settings I got it a bit more stable, but the Realtech card in this seems to be rather poor. Thankfully Lenovo is having Best Buy put a new WiFi card in this coming week. If that doesn’t help I will buy an Intel and put it in myself. A quick online search of Yoga 730 WiFi connection will turn up a lot of info showing this isn’t isolated to me. If the WiFi was better, I would give this 5 stars for the price I paid on sale.

I have Lenovo at work and decided that I'd try the Yoga based on the performance of my laptop at work. The touchscreen is amazing and makes life so much easier! It loads ultra quick and I am able to get working seconds after I open and power up!

It is so fast!! I had a Lenovo before this, it was old and hard drive crashed. I waited too long to upgrade. Also the color is fantastic. What a difference the 1080 makes. The price was great , so I can definitely recommend this product.

I had one issue only, which was a startup issue after having the laptop for a month or so, but that was fixed by Geek Squad. It's fast and the screen image quality is excellent. Didn't intend to get a touch screen, but I really like it and wouldn't get one without it now.

This will correct the WiFi connectivity issue that is currently being found within Lenovo models with the RealTek 8822BE WiFi Card.
Install the new driver version on the computer with the WiFi connectivity issue, RealTek Wireless Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) Lenovo –

If the WiFi signal continues to drop after restarting the computer, manually change the Bandwidth setting under the "Advanced Driver Properties" within the Device Manager, from
