Here's a tip for making your fingerprint reader work every time: Try lightly sliding your finger over the fingerprint reader. No need to press hard on the reader, in fact pressing hard on the fingerprint reader will distort your fingerprint and cause read errors.

This configuration ships with a 14 inch (screen size measured diagonally) IPS - FHD (1920x1080) 10-point Multi-touch screen, with a brightness level of 300 nits, has a Glossy finish. This screen provides 100 Percent of the sRGB (72 Percent NTSC) color gamut for excellent color accuracy. The screen is made of AGC Dragontrail glass for better durability. If you are getting less brightness than expected from the screen, be sure you have auto/adaptive brightness turned off and then manual adjust the brightness level to your personal preference. The build quality is amazing. The computer is lightning fast. I see other reviews talking about the dim which is an easy fix if you shut off auto brightness. Don’t be discouraged to buy this laptop. It’s absolutely amazing!

Just hold down the Fn Key and tap the Spacebar: Once to turn on the keyboard backlighting, twice to increase the intensity of the back light and three times to turn off the backlighting.
