I really love this Lenovo Yoga laptop. I purchased a Yoga laptop in 2016 and it has lasted me until now, 5 years later. I decided to get a new one because I liked the first one so much. I love the moss green color, so unique and pretty. The construction of the laptop seems almost like a MacBook, it has that very sleek feeling, and the keyboard is delicate and soft to the touch. This version of the Yoga has an actual shift key (not a half sized one) on the right side, and the number pad make typing a breeze. Even thought it is a 15.6inch screen computer, it feels smaller, and more compact, and doesn't weight a lot. With an Intel 7, 12 gigs of ram, and 512gb ssd, this computer will last me at least another 5 years. I don't game or anything like that, so this is the perfect laptop for me for school and every day activity. I definitley recommend it.

I exchange the Yoga 7i 14" monitor i5 processor with the 15.6" monitor i7 processor after four days as Best Buy had a sale that made the latter the same price as the former. Correction to the Specifications / Ports: The 15.6" model has two USB ports, not one. This laptop is extremely fast. Then again, I replaced an 8 year old laptop with an i3 processor. I'm still learning all the bells and whistles, but I am very satisfied with this laptop.

    Security Concerns - Malware Suspect

Before posting this review, is it possible for Best Buy or Lenovo to respond privately? I don’t want Lenovo’s past security mistakes to have a negative impact on this Lenovo Yoga 7i-15 laptop. The machine is performing very well. I’ve purchased several laptops in the last 20 years with most of them being purchased from various Best Buy locations. After experiencing the issue described below, I came across some concerning information from various websites about the Lenovo Brand. I want to be confident that I can trust the Lenovo Support Site to be free from malware and other security vulnerabilities (https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/) I also have screenshots and other details surrounding the issue below that I will be glad to share via email if Lenovo wants to investigate the issue further. After removing Lenovo’s pre-installed McAfee and installing a fresh copy (that I already own from McAfee); the push notifications stopped. It feels like the tools pre-installed were not adequate to protect the device which makes me question whether I can trust driver updates from Lenovo’s site. The push notifications were pretending to be McAfee solutions in a Lenovo wrapper. After cleaning this machine, it has been five days and those push-notifications have not returned and all scans continue to be clean. I’ve had this laptop a few days but prior to installing my own Antivirus Protection, I was hit with some push notification pretending to be McAfee. The pre-installed McAfee software didn’t stop whatever type of attach was happening on this laptop. After stopping the attack, I performed a few malware scans to try and identify the source of my issue. More than one application identified pre-installed software that was connected to Lenovo Applications or Lenovo Support files. This prompted me to do some additional digging and now I question if Lenovo allows third-party applications to be installed that track or share my browsing habits without my knowledge. Some elements found were RiskWare, Malvertising, Malware and one possible Trojan. After researching, I learned about some questionable practices from Lenovo in the past, but I would hope that since Best Buy is now selling this brand, those security vulnerabilities from the past have been fully resolved. In the past, I have purchased a number of laptops from another vendor and I trusted their website to provide clean software updates, driver updates and even allowed the site to perform scans on my laptop to ensure it was operating correctly. However, due to my experience with this malware and questions around security and integrity, I’m cautious about my purchase from Lenovo. I’ve not yet loaded any of my own PCI / sensitive confidential information on this machine as I continue to vet my security concerns. Are there some USA based security reviews that you can share with me along with some safe-guards around how often the Lenovo support site is pen-tested for security vulnerabilities? I understand that most all laptop manufacturers install some bloatware and my practice is to remove all unneeded applications as soon as I can review the manuals to figure out what is not needed for the performance of the laptop. I was hit with this repeated push notifications prior to removing unnecessary applications. I realize that various browsers and even Windows 11 itself may try to collect user data and preferences but the customer needs to be informed of those collections’ efforts (in the fine print of agreements). I sincerely like this Lenovo Yoga 7i-15 and it satisfied my need for a Windows 11 compliant machine but I need to sure up my security concerns.

This laptop is certainly an upgrade for me. My previous HP was over eight years and was slow and did not respond to updates well. The Lenovo was excellent with its general user setup. I really like the thumbprint sign in and the flip of the screen (Gives the impression of an ipad device). The ease of use and the speed of the device are winners for me. I would recommend it to others. Battery life is amazing.

Bought a Chromebook couple of months ago because I was sick and tired of slow Windows computers. found out TurboTax doesn't run on Chromebook locally so I bought this one to do my taxes on. I figured in about 2 or 3 years it will pay for itself rather than having somebody else do my taxes. I must tell you windows sure has changed and this thing flies. Love the 500 nits Dolby vision image (15.6 model) and brightness and 12 gig of RAM sure is sufficient for what I do. I also like the mosts color , the gray ones are just boring. At $850 this is an awesome computer and a great deal.

I love the laptop. It has a nice design and a beautiful screen clarity. The laptop is the right size. It has a long battery life and it does NOT make noice like most laptops. I gave 4 stars because the laptop only has 1 usb port and I have to use a usb type- c adapter if I want to use a mouse since I use a laptop fan that’s plugged to the USB port. Otherwise, it’s a great laptop. Highly recommend!

What a great laptop for a great price. Bought this June/2021 and have been very happy. This thing has really long battery life. Two Thunderbolt 4 slots are a nice forward compatibility feature. The sound is vibrant for laptop configurations and the picture looks really bright while streaming from Netflix and Disney+. It’s pretty impressive how well it performs considering how little it cost. Very happy with it so far and highly recommend for daily use as well as for streaming videos.

The Lenovo laptop is very lightweight. Easy to use, is fast and has good photos. The battery isn’t great. You can watch a movie or do a few hours work and only have 50% battery life. But if you leave it plugged in, no worries. I like the screen size. Overall, it’s a good laptop It was purchased for the touch screen and ease of use for someone whose hands shake quite a bit. It has helped them be able to do their work faster & easier.

Hello, thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 7i. The Yoga 7i model #82BJ0003US features up to 16 hours battery life If you are getting substantially less battery life, please adjust your screen brightness settings. A setting of 100% brightness will drain your battery much faster than a lower setting. We recommend setting the screen brightness to some value below 100% that is still comfortable for you to view. Next be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 Lenovo

I absolutely LOVE this computer! The color is beautiful- it is nice to have something different than black or silver. It is quite intuitive to use. It was incredibly easy to connect my bluetooth headphones as well as my bluetooth mouse. It is lightweight as has a small profile, making it easier to carry around from work to home. I also love the placement of the fingerprint scanner, which seems to work quite well! I Also LOVE being able to flip it all the way around and write on the screen. My only complaint is that sometimes the hinges seem a bit weak. If I shake or move my computer too quickly, the screen will fall back just a little bit. Not a huge issue, but something to be aware of.

This is a fantastic laptop, with 12GB RAM and an i7, it's a little powerhouse. The battery lasts for ages, and it's nice to have a numpad on a two in one laptop. That said, the keyboard just stopped working entirely after about a year. It turns out that the ribbon cable connecting it to the motherboard gets slightly unseated if you so much as look at the laptop wrong. This causes keys to just stop working. I have needed to reseat that cable about once a month for the past year or so, and this is NOT an easy laptop to open up and do that with. In addition to the jank keyboard, this laptop has fairly low storage for how much it costs. I realize it's on an m.2 SSD, but I still feel like there should be a full terabyte of storage for something that's almost $1100. I ended up replacing the SSD with a 2TB one about six months after purchase, as the 512GB fills up quickly. Overall, I wouldn't buy it new and am now hesitant to get anything more than $1000 in the future.

Great computer so far! Love the screen and backlit keyboard. I plan to use this for college next year. I have been getting about 6 or 7 hours of battery life. You may get a little less depending on your usage. I also listen to music a lot on my devices and really like the Dolby speakers. They are very loud! I only had this laptop for less than a week, but I highly recommend this laptop!
