We are sorry to hear that you had issues with your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i-15. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i-15. First, be sure the computer battery has a charge. Plug the AC adapter/charger into the dedicated Thunderbolt 4.0 port on the left side of the computer. There are two Tunderbolt 4.0 ports on this side of the computer but only one can charge the computer. It is the Thunderbolt 4.0 port with the electric plug icon right next to the Thunderbolt 4.0 icon. This is the only port that can charge the computer. Plug the computer in, let it charge for 15-minutes with the computer completely powered off. After 15-minutes of charging, power on the computer with the computer still plugged in and charging. The computer should start normally. You will be able to use the computer while it continues to charge to 100-Percent. If after charging the computer it still does not power on it is possible that resetting the computer back to original factory settings may correct the issue. Since you can not boot the computer, leave it plugged in and charging. this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the bottom right side of the device, right near the top right corner of the cooling vent on the bottom of the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

The Intel Evo-Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i-15, model number 82BJ0003US, will boot from off to the Windows 10 Desktop in less than 10-seconds. The Yoga 7i-15 will wake from Sleep Mode almost instantly. Both program and file accessibility is almost instantaneous. If you are experiencing slower than expected performance, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. This laptop is incredible. I'm an IT systems engineer and have been passionate about computers since my first Pacakard Bell in the early 90s. This thing is faster than the gaming PC I built (which also has the OS on an SSD). No lie, the time it takes to get to the desktop from a fully powered down state is 5 seconds (I use the biometric fingerprint reader). Insanely fast. 12 GB is plenty for what I use this for (music production and light gaming). The 512 GB storage is enough for what I need as well. I've had zero issues so far with this laptop so far apart from a strange issue where my Arturia KeyStep midi keyboard don't want to be recognized. Apparently this has to do with the Intel Smart Sound audio drivers and after speaking with Arutria, the current remedy is to uninstall those Intel audio drivers. A bit bummed that I didn't catch this when it was on sale for $200 off. Other than that, the laptop itself feels great and performs great!

Love this laptop. I am an Apple-user and I do not think I'm going back to MacOS anytime soon. I bought this laptop last month and been using it almost everyday. So far, it caters to all I need... video editing, graphic designing, MS Office and browsing, usually all at the same time. Battery is superb, graphics are good. And it's all worth it for the price.

    Double Typing Letters

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I love everything about this laptop....except the keyboard. There's something wrong with my keyboard where every few times I press the "t" key, it double-types the letter t. This significantly reduced the efficiency of the laptop. I've read reviews online about this issue with no known resolution so I'm probably going to trade it in for a different machine.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Intel Evo-Certified, lenovo Yoga 7i 15, model number 82BJ0003US. First, check to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 11, including those BIOS file and drivers that control Human Interface Devices, like the keyboard. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 11. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Premium Care for additional help at: 888-278-9707. Lenovo

Very Short battery life - 4 hours only

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Despite Lenovo’s claim of "up to 15 hours" of battery, since having this device for almost a year, I have gotten a maximum of 5 hours of battery usage, though usually just over FOUR HOURS ONLY- and that is with normal usage of Microsoft office and internet only (I'm not a gamer, I rarely stream video content, I'm not using major battery-sucking plug-in devices, and I'm not using graphic-heavy applications or websites). I have repeatedly spoken to Lenovo Customer care and tech services, which have done all the testing, etc yet they continue to say my battery is in good health. So, to restate: ACCORDING TO LENOVO, FOUR HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE IS CONSIDERED NORMAL. As such, I would NOT recommend this product if you are wanting a decent, standard battery life. And to be clear, I do not actually expect to get 15 hours (marketing!)- but 6-8 at minimum is expected. One more smaller complaint - I experience consistent problems with the fingerprint scan log-in- basically it always asks me to enter my pin as well, which negates the point of having a fingerprint login in the first place. Other aspects are fine- quick start, sleek design, and even relatively decent and responsive customer service, blah blah, but the battery is a joke and I am sorely disappointed at the amount I spent on this device and the company's acceptance of this as within the bounds of normal performance. Particularly because I did hours of research on which laptop would provide me with the most battery life and best performance for the price.

We are very sorry to hear that you are experiencing battery issues with the Intel Evo Certified Lenovo Yoga 7i 2-in-1 15.6 in. Laptop. This model ships with a 4CELL_71WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 16 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. The Intel Evo Certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 15 Laptop is certified as to providing All-Day-Battery-Life.
If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, try setting your display brightness to a lower interval, if you are at 100 percent – try 80 percent to begin with. Then, be sure Battery conservation mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode:  https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also, please check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance:  https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10 . Then, finally, please be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software can drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. Hinge Breaks and Cracks Screen - Big problem

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Was fine until 13 months after purchase. One hinge froze up so you couldn't close it but we did know until we tried to close it and it cracked the screen and the hinge popped out. In doing research to replace hinge and screen, it became apparent that this is a BIG problem with Yoga laptops. I couldn't find the specific hinges anywhere to replace them so we had to buy a new computer. Go with a Dell.

The laptop was fine until about 14 months in. Just a little bit after the warranty expired, however, the screen stopped working completely. The power would turn on the laptop but the screen would remain blank. Took it to Best Buy only to be told that they wouldn't do anything about it because it was past warranty. So, it was over $1000 down the drain and I will never do business with Best Buy or buy this computer again....

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Intel Evo-certified, Lenovo Yoga 7i 15 model number 82BJ007SUS. Resetting the computer back to original factory settings may correct the problem you are having. Once you have the computer reset, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. Great--when it gets around to working. Nothing but problems with this laptop. It is SLOOOOOW. Waiting for the login page to make its grand appearance takes 5 minutes. I timed it. Then logging into the internet is another event. By the time the machine is warmed up and ready to go, its a good 10 minutes. Not kidding. Setting changes for shut-down and getting rid of login don't stick. Wish I bought something else.
