Great New Lenovo Yoga!

I've had Lenovo Yoga for at least 5 years but the monitor on that laptop was much smaller. This larger 16" screen is soooo much better. So far, I'm liking everything about this computer.

Broken microphone. Bad quality. Not worth $1000
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The microphone flat out doesn’t work, I’ve tried everything. Camera quality is horrendous too. I have many meetings and it’s almost embarrassing showing up with this camera. Like, if I had a dollar for every pixel I would have 10 cents. Performance is on par for maybe a Chromebook; works for work/school but definitely doesn’t feel like it’s worth $1000+ dollars. Not to mention I bought it brand new and it came dented. I would have returned it but I didn’t get to really use it until past the 2 week mark meaning my return date is closed. I’ve had this laptop for a couple months now, and it does the job for casual video watching (on summer break so I don’t have school). I got it to replace my old windows “laptop” (surface pro i believe but I’m not sure) because of many reasons, mainly that it shouldn’t even be classified as a laptop, but compared to this, honestly it’s better. For comparison, I attached photos of this laptop’s camera (left) and my old laptop (right) that this one was supposed to replace. I might increase my rating if I got money back or any amount of compensation for this junk, because past the camera and microphone (which i both assume SHOULD be higher quality/ actually work) the laptop is functional for school (not games though unfortunately.) and the battery life is better than my previous one which I had to be plugged in 24/7.

To start, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this can correct microphone, camera, and performance issues. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.
If after the available updates are applied and the system restarts, yet the issue persists, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem. We recommend contacting Lenovo Support here: 877-453-6686, for further assistance.
