Perfect family laptop

But as far as any other task it nails 10/10. My wife uses it to store photos its being seriously under utilized so I occasionally use it to give it some use as well!

It’s fast, well-built, and feels very high quality. I bought it for my wife and she uses it for her university classes—Zoom meetings, research, writing papers, and everyday school work. Good Design, Disappointing Battery: Lenovo Yoga 7i

Pros: Design & Color: Sleek look, and the Storm Grey color is nicer in person than in pictures. Screen: Decent 2K panel — nothing spectacular, but serviceable. Price: On sale, it’s a fair value. Cons: Battery Life: Advertised at over 20 hours, but I consistently saw closer to 7–8 hours. For my use case (work travel, unplugged all week), that’s an unacceptable dip. Performance: OK overall, but slower than I’m used to — especially when running on battery power. Value: At full price, I wouldn’t recommend it. Bottom Line: The Yoga 7i has a nice design and works fine for office tasks, but the battery life and performance don’t match the marketing. Worth it on sale, but not at full retail.

To start, there are many variables that contribute to shorter battery life. Thankfully, many of those variables can be adjusted. By default, the system will tend to give more speed when needed, which can sacrifice battery life. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend utilizing the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both worlds.

I love the backlit keyboard and the crispness of the display that is coupled with a touchscreen. My only complaint is the narrowness of the number keypad, which they touted as a good thing. My fingers (which are not large) have trouble readjusting to a nonstandard sized layout.

I do the schedule for our employees on this thing weekly and have daily zoom meetings with the owners and regional managers. This has been my best friend. The ten key is amazing for settling books and accounting. And the tablit feature is perfect for ressi. The battery life is incredible too. Amazing buy. I highly recomend. 5 stars
