We really needed a computer that could keep up with all the software updates many old programs were no longer working and in compatible with everything being used today.

Performance is excellent and added RAM has increased performance of various 3d modeling software I use.

The touchscreen is a nice feature. I do wish there were additional external ports but the Bluetooth option makes it convenient to connect several devices.

It has been able to help me run the programs I need, along with play games like Minecraft with no issues. The graphics are great and have had no issues. Some features do not seem to react the same, but that me be my understanding of the new unit. On occasion I have had some problem with the screen freezing that I never had before with the Surface. I'm unsure why the touchpad needs to be larger and at a different location. Even though the processor is faster I cannot see any difference in dailey use. I am hoping I will grow into it as time and usage continures. It was a great deal at BestBuy and overall I am satisfied.

Regarding the touchscreen issue you mentioned, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.
If after the available updates are applied and the system restarts, yet the issue persists, in-depth troubleshooting will be necessary to fix the problem. We recommend contacting Lenovo Support here: 877-453-6686, for further assistance.
Also, we wish to share that the touchpad size is designed to improve ease of use with gestures and navigation, and the placement is intentional, with the touchpad centered to the keyboard versus the laptop to aid in reachability when navigating to typing.
