    Love this computer....

I am very happy with my Yoga 900. These are my caveats regarding the computer and why I didn't go for the full 5 stars.. . The touchpad driver needed to be updated. There is a link for the driver on the forums.lenovo.com that fixed the scrolling problem. (Not a biggy) As others have mentioned, the power adapter is poorly designed and takes up gobs of space on the power strip. Suggest a short extenion, if this is a problem for you. The positioning and size of the backspace key is kind of weird and I wind up hitting "home" instead, may times. Have to get used to it. Aside from these quirks, I am really enjoying my new Yoga 900. It's really fast and flexible. It stays pretty cool and the battery appears to last as advertised.

Problems with the system as well with window's 10 bugs with updates. Had I known this from the best buy sales person I would have never invested in this model. They only give you 15 days to return it. Instead of 30 or 60 days. As they say back home fish on the line. The Geeks are the only one's in the stores that know what is good and bad. Thanks again to the sale person's there.

By all appearances and first hand reviews, the Lenova Yoga was a pleasing purchase. Then, months after purchase,.....after numerous issues that the Geeks couldn't resolve due to complexity, like starting up (the system kept passing their in store test), it finally started doing for the Geeks what it was doing for me at home. So, it was sent to service and the motherboard ended up being replaced. Then, months after repair,.........the systems refused to start up and is being sent in to the service center again. I hope it is only the startup button, but it doesn't make a difference at this point. Sixteen months of non-demanding use and this computer and Brand is not something I'd spend money on again. How strongly do I feel about that, I'd have rather spent an additional thousand dollars on the Microsoft product. That is an additional thousand dollars of conviction, let that compute if you're able to startup, unlike my Yoga.

Been researching a new laptop for last couple months and seemed like they all had some negatives. I wanted windows 10, solid build quality, light weight, 2 in 1, great battery life, display, sound with little to no negatives. Read the initial reviews and pulled the trigger...i7, 512gb hd, 16gb memory at $1299?! I haven't had any of the issues mentioned in other reviews. I couldn't care less about paying another $25 for the missing adaptor. The charger is fine, light and portable. Laptop's thin, super light, looks cool, hinge solid, easy to flip back and forth between tablet and laptop, sound spectacular, display excellent, battery life somewhere around 8 hours, keyboard, track pad great - no issues, bottom doesn't get too hot.. Windows 10 updated today. It flies. Loving this thing.

I just upgraded to the Yoga 900 from the Yoga 2 Pro. I love the form factor of the old version, but I am going to need more processing power for some upcoming projects. This machine is fast, efficient, and just works. With double the RAM from my previous model and the latest Intel core i7 processor, the Yoga 900 has so far handled anything I've thrown at it, including some InDesign and Photoshop work with multiple browser tabs and Microsoft Office products also open at the same time. I did upgrade to Windows 10 Pro so that I'd have an easier time with my employer's network. I haven't had the chance yet to fully integrate the Yoga 900 into my office workstation (external keyboard, tablet, and 24" monitor), but I don't anticipate any problems. I'll update if I run into anything other than minor glitches. My only disappointment so far is that I cannot find extra AC adapters for this computer anywhere. Lenovo's own website claims that the charger will ship in "more than five weeks." I placed an order for two from their website, and they say I will receive delivery by April 4 - five months from now! Last year's Yoga 3 Pro adapters use the right plug, but the wattage is wrong (40 vs. this year's 65). Both Lenovo's shopping support and an in-store Best Buy blueshirt tried to tell me that the Yoga 2 Pro adapter would work, but they are completely differently shaped plugs! I hope Best Buy gets stock soon; I bought the laptop itself from Best Buy instead of Lenovo because Best Buy had stock and could deliver it sooner. I'm sorry to hear that other reviewers have had negative experiences with their Yoga 900s, but I haven't experienced any of the trackpad or typing problems. I ordered mine online and had it shipped to my home, but I doubt that makes a difference. If anything, our disparate experiences indicate a quality control issue - a criticism more for Lenovo than for any particular product. Please don't paint all Yoga 900s with the same brush; some of us are very pleased with our purchase. Even if I wasn't, I wouldn't pay twice the price for the same processing power that I'd get with a MacBook (or a Surface Book). Overall, this is a great value for the price.

This is a killer piece of hardware. I have had this for about a week now, battery life is killer, screen is beautiful, very comfortable to type, great build, the hinge keeps the screen steady while typing. I absolutely love this laptop. I cancelled my pre order for the microsoft book and got better specs for $500 less. No complaints! A skin would be nice though. I have only run into one issue with this laptop, sometimes the keys doublepress. i think it is this unit in specific and will probably go swap this out. But i am definitely keeping with the yoga 900

Is a technology consultant, I read the reviews before purchasing this product and was excited. That quickly faded as the laptop froze every 15-30 minutes. The orientation was also temperamental. I ended up returning it 7-8 times for repair and updates that did not work at all. After sending it away for repairs, repeatedly, I eventually received a refund. It was likely a dud, which I stated during the first couple of months. It took months of frustration to eventually restore my faith in Best Buy. It shouldn't have taken that long. I have no faith in this laptop at this point.

    Great Laptop

I've been using the laptop for the past few weeks now and am completely satisfied with my purchase. The computer is super fast and I'm able to boot Windows in seconds thanks to the SSD drive and the 16GB of memory. Mostly I'm using office and web browsers but I also work with virtual machines and this laptop has plenty of power to run everything without a stutter. It's also super light and extremely quiet. The 2-in-1 ability to flip into tablet mode is quite more useful than I imagined when consuming media. Battery life has been better than expected and I get 6-10 hours depending on what I'm doing, I've noticed that using the back-lit keyboard and high screen brightness has the most impact on battery life. I did encounter a minor issue a few weeks ago where the screen was flickering after a windows update but this was resolved with a simple display driver update. I also use an HP Spectre X360 and I would choose the Yoga over it because of the overall feel and design.

folks, I normally don't write reviews only because I think who cares but after giving this laptop 3 weeks and upto 60 hours of personal attention, it is where I would want it to be, I really don't want this review to be long but if this helps someone I would be happy, so here it goes I compared this directly with surfacebbook pro and I went from my home making my mind that today I am going to spend in north of 2600 usd and will get surfacebook pro what ever it takes because its stypish.., I spend 4 hours doing an apple to apple comparision and this one won in every aspect be it battery time, processing benchmarks, formfactor and looks etc.... without going in too much details ill tell you that this is not an everyday persons machine, I am running windows 10 on this as I work for the company that makes it and I obviously love it but on top of that since I am a cyber security personal I am running 8 VMs simultaneously most of the time I am doing my labs, I have this connected to multiple monitors, I also ordered a 60usd dot pen to take notes, I have a lot of softwares installed which you will need if you deal with various OS and processor hungry apps, someone mentioned on the flickering of the screen yes that is annowing but its display card feature that can be disabled but if u really want juice from battery let it be the way it is, I can tell you with 10 percent brightness in the night I was able to get upto 9 to 10 hours only because of Lenovo software features which finetune display and processing to give u the juice , my only complain and the way I am dealing with it the usb 6 point slot is very unique and I like to carry extra juice for myself so there was not a single powerbank adapter availablbe till day to pack some extra battery with it, then I reached out to mike greyer who makes customized battery packs and now even though he sells it for almost 350usd but it is a 52000mah battery brick with a custom adapter that gives me 7 to 8 more hours on top of 9 hours that I already have, so combined this laptop gives me juice and power but again I use a machine for living and I want it sexy and yet very powerful plus I don't want to carry few ipads, android pads and mini laptops to do different things for me, now I have 1 device and it does all for me , I still paid 1200 less than surface pro and I am very happy with this purchase, I would recommend it to any power user/geek like me, its a no brainer and just don't take my words for it, if u don't like it after using if for few weeks u can return it back, I just wish I would have taken clementine orange as it looks kool but best buy never has it in stock

A little overpriced, but a very solid machine. The 512gb SSD (Samsung) is fast. Very fast. Also, the i7 processor never seems to overheat the machine. The 16gb memory is about right for the work I do. I love the lightness, quietness, and the quality of the build. The laptop screen hinges are especially well built. Sound is great, even with the speakers on the underside of the unit. The keyboard travel is not optimum, but is an acceptable trade-off for a machine this size. The backspace key is improperly placed. The right shift key is far too small. Back light LEDs work great for keyboard. In contrast to others, I like the USB power plug. Screen is terrific: the resolution is just right for the screen. Battery life is wonderful: seven or eight hours is typical for me.to see before it needs recharging, and recharging is fast. Light, powerful, loaded, and a quality machine. Only minor complaints keep it from being a 5 rating.

I did a lot of research on laptops prior to making my purchase. This was my first laptop! It's pretty awesome. I don't use it as a tablet as much as I thought I would but I like the versatility. I love the touch screen aspect more that I thought I would. The track pad isn't the best (but it isn't totally bad). I wish it was a little more responsive but so far so good! It starts up pretty fast. The battery life is decent. It's a great size. I'm happy with it!
