Poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First 900 blue screened after 3 days so I exchanged for another 900 Yoga. Second one came with damaged USB port and touchpad that kept freezing (appears to be known issue). The employees in Best Buy harbision SC helped to make sure my customer experience remain positive even thigh my Lenovo purchase was disappointing. I wound up upgrading to the MS Surface Book which so far seems to have the substance I expect from a high end computer.

Fragile
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great PC/Tablet, very fast and easy to use, however the screen cracked very easily and is a fortune (almost 1000) to replace. My daughter had it on her bed, closed and must have bumped it in her sleep - it didn't fall off he bed, but in the morning the screen was cracked and this was with a protective case around it.

Forget this product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product on 12/11/15 and returned it on the 18th because it would not power up. Replaced it on the 18th and this lasted one day before it would not power up. This was reported in the reviews, but they replaced it with no further problems. There is definitely a design problem with the power system.. It's not worth the hassle with this product.

Not a fan
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased late Oct, early Nov 2015. At first loved it, super fast, love the laptop to tablet conversion then the problems started. The sound went on and off until it all sound lost. Exchanged it for same brand, style, etc. This one gives me multiple display error messages. Freezes game, for the money paid the speed is not up to par much too many hiccups with this 2 in 1. Returning it right after work for a refund. Will do better research before I purchase next tablet or 2in1

Defective...I'm going back to using a Mac
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had several problems with my Yoga 900. The trackpad does not work properly. I consulted Lenovo and the Geek Squad for a solution but neither of them could figure out how to fix the problem. The Geek Squad rep gave up after working on the laptop remotely for over an hour. The Lenovo rep was absolutely clueless about what was causing the trackpad to malfunction after also working on it remotely. The Bluetooth card has a mind of its own; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The WiFi card is also unpredictable. On another occasion, the laptop froze up and I couldn't get the laptop to turn off or on. I had to wait several minutes until the laptop finally decided to come back on when I pressed the power button. Another time, I tried restarting the computer but it just got stuck trying to restart. All this in just the first few days of ownership! I bought this Yoga 900 after giving my early 2015 MacBook Pro with Retina Display to my daughter who is in college. I thought I'd give a Windows laptop a try. Bad idea. I'm taking this defective laptop back to BestBuy and I'm headed straight to the Apple Store to get another Mac. Take my advice, stick with Apple. I've never had a problem with their laptops.

Super sleek and powerful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has very good specs and looks. Only problem with the ultrabooks is they are soldered. If anything goes wrong , you can't repair it yourself even for minor issues like RAM etc. I bought 3 yrs warranty by spending about $340. I feel the silver top is looks good but easily prone to scratches. Also, finger prints and smudges are easily seen. Over all I am happy.

Not a great start
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Day one of use and a few things are bugging me. Trackpad feels sort of cheap w/ the clickable pad near bottom transitioning to non-clickable at the top make it feel loose. The text brightness or clarity between program windows and menus just feels off. Wish i could explain it better. The time would not update properly. That one could be Windows 10 here, not sure. And the worst issue so far, at one point it just wouldn't start. Took way too many random button clicks to finally get it started. The good, and I hope there is more of this to come, was the feel of the palm rests under keyboard. And, that hinge is cool, for sure. It feels speedy, but sure as h3ll should considering the 6 year old Pentium desktop w/ 4GB RAM I came from.

Posted .For screen brightness, go to Control Panel/Display and make adjustments there. You can look for driver updates for your system by following the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for updates for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes or download any new software. Here's the link:

If you have problems with the system starting, there is a very small button on the right side just above the power button. It is the OneKey Recovery System Button. It is so small you will need a pen or pencil to push it. It will start your system in an emergency when nothing else seems to work.

Love it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my 15 year old daughter to use. I wanted her to get a MAC because I've heard they are less hassle, and my other daughter loves her Mac Book. This daughter didn't want a MAC, so I wanted to get her a laptop that I don't have to hear her complain about it locking up, etc. She loves this laptop and when I use it, it just makes me hate my HP laptop that much more. So worth the money.

I really wanted this to work.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not have a pleasant experience with this laptop and I'm really disappointed. The first Yoga I bought had a keyboard with sticky keys, right out of the box. The keys located on the left side of the board were completely non-responsive. Disappointed, I'd exchanged the laptop for a new one at the retailer (Best Buy). The second machine did not have sticky keys. However, the screen exhibited some very odd behavior. Whenever I picked up the computer and moved it from one place to another (e.g. the table to my lap), the screen had a very pronounced ripple effect (in the LCD). Imagine throwing a rock in a pond and seeing the waves ripple throughout the surface of the water. This is what I saw every time I picked up the computer. Now, I do understand with such a thin screen, that some ripple in the LCD is to be expected. But this was abnormal and defective. The associates at Best Buy agreed with me and offered another exchange. Upon opening the third Yoga 900, at Best Buy, the ripple effect was present, but not as obvious and pronounced. I'm a web developer who will be traveling and will be very mobile. I could not honestly deal with this (for the price I'd paid). After some consideration, I returned the computer for a complete refund. Look, I understand that nothing is going to be perfect. There will be flaws in whatever machine you buy. However, for a model that is considered premium (and sold at a premium price) I couldn't accept this. Two of the three machines I'd tried had defects and the third one was borderline defective. For the money, the first machine should have had acceptable quality. Lenovo, I really REALLY wanted the Yoga 900 to be my ultra book for years to come. But something is wrong here. Is the design over engineered (ripples in the LCD)? Can quality control be improved (e.g. sticky keys)? I'm being honest here, the Yoga 900 has some serious issues. Again, I really wanted this PC. ( Props to Best Buy for their return policy and awesome customer service).

constantly freezing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer has had driver issues from the very start. I keep getting error messages saying the driver is having issues. Also, the computer is slow and constantly freezes. I am returning the product. This computer is over-priced for all of the issues it is having.

Generally happy, but it has winks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does anyone's yoga 900 have ever had winks when it is on? I bought my yogo 900 just two days ago. I spent one whole day getting used to Windows 10 and installing softwares. Today I noticed that the screen winks sometimes when i was using it. Should I take it back to Bestbuy and ask for an exchange?

Some major flaws that are inexcusable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1. Loaded with lots of malware-type software that you will absolutely want to remove. 2. Power cord plug takes up space for 3 outlets. USB power cord sounds great, but not when can only use their bulky plug-in and cord. 3. Spec states it comes with Type C-to-HDMI adapter and it does not. You need this to connect to an external monitor and other devices. Cost of adapter is about $25. This is what I found immediately. Let's see what else comes up with usage, but this kind of 101 stuff is inexcusable! Very disappointing for such a highly reviewed laptop.

Terrible support from Lenovo
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After just a month, my new Lenovo Yoga 900 won't hold a charge, and takes 4 days to charge the battery. It has been 10 days of waiting and still no replacement power cord from Lenovo. They originally stated that the part would be delivered within 3 business days. After 4 business days, I called and they said it would be delivered within 2 business days. Now, they are saying another 3 business days and the part still hasn't shipped. Through all of this, no email updates, and no way to check on status without directly contacting customer support. I'm pretty sure this new charger won't solve the issues so then I need to send the computer back to Lenovo and they state a minimum of 7 business days for repair. If you have the time to be without your computer operating properly and to deal with a complete lack of customer support - this is the system for you.

Posted .While you are waiting for the new power cord, if you can use the system while it is plugged in, you may want to see if a driver up date for power management will help the issue. You can follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for driver updates for power management for your specific system. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make changes, then make another restore point once the issue is fixed. Here's the link:

Liked it but not what I needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a wonderful and powerful sleek machine but I needed to make online videos for my classes and wanted to use a pen instead of my finger to do digital notes. The 900 will not do this only the 900s does. Be warned only certain models have a active digitizer screen. And the 900s does not have the power this one had. So sad!
