The form factor is amazing. Lighter than a 13" MBPr, in my opinion. Not sure if that is to spec. Performance is on par with a generation 3 x1. Not a bad high end consumer grade laptop.

I want to love it so bad....

I love everything about this computer...on the outside. Even most of the inside is great, however, there are some serious issues here. The first problem I ran into is with the graphics. The screen looks great for many applications but some appear so small on the screen that you cannot read nor click accurately. I could have a Powerpoint window open and it looks fine but if you open Photoshop the menus and text show up so small it is useless. The second and MUCH larger issue I have is with Sleep Mode. When this thing goes to sleep, it is impossible to wake up. Requires a hard reset every time. I know I can change settings to prevent it from going to sleep but I shouldn't have to. I called Lenovo about my issues and after first telling me I had to pay $20/month to speak with a service tech on the phone about the $1,300 machine I just bought from them, they transferred me to their warranty line. Here's where things go south. They tell me that the reason I'm having issues is the Lenovo Yoga 900 does not support Windows 10. WHAT???!?!?!? You sold me your top of the line and newest laptop equipped WITH Windows 10 yet the hardware does not support it? The tech tells me that she can refer me to materials on how to revert to Windows 8. You have got to be kidding me. In the end, my Best Buy experience was great as always but I am severely disappointed in the product and this will surely be the last Lenovo product I ever purchase.

    Returned it!

I'm a B rated PC user and I got fed up with my Lenovo by day 12. The taskbar kept resizing after opening up the screen again (whether the taskbar was locked or not#. I couldn't figure out how to get the keyboard light to work, and the final straw is that I was unable to get Microsoft Outlook to open.... even after I had been using the program for 12 days, it suddenly stopped opening. I took it in to Best Buy to return it and the customer service rep said he's seen several of these models returned. The only winner here, was Best Buy and I mean that in the best way. They handled the situation excellently. They didn't question my desire or right to return it #I had already thrown away the box# and I felt like they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. I give them an A+ for their customer service today. Left with an HP Spectre for $100 more) and I'm sure I'll be happy with it.

    Ended up returning...

So I'll get the positives out of the way first - the laptop looks and feels every bit premium. It also has great specs for the price. However, I was disappointed from the get go. The website indicated (at least at the time of purchase) that the device came with a USB C to HDMI adapter, which was nice since I often hook my laptop up to an external monitor. The package actually doesn't come with one. I brought the item back to the store. The customer service confirmed with the company that setup the demo unit at the store that the display model didn't come with one. Customer service also opened up a new one, and again - no adapter. I think it's an error on Best Buy's website. Not a deal breaker - the adapter is only $25, but annoying. Next, the power adapter is just an awkward size. Unlike most other adapters for other laptops, the brick itself contains the prongs for the wall. So, when you plug the device in, it can cover the other outlets. This isn't the biggest deal breaker, but it's annoying. Finally, the nail in the coffin for me - the laptop (or at least mine) didn't sit flush on a surface - there was a fair amount of wobble (sort of like when a leg of a chair or table is off). So when you typed or rested your hand on the laptop near the clickpad, the screen wobbled. Tried this on multiple surfaces, and even the customer service reps noticed the large amounts of wobble. Laptop returned. I wouldn't recommend.

    Nice computer, with small flaws

    Posted .

Pros: Thin and light. Good build feel. Turns people's eyes. Performance is awesome, as expected. Cons: If you work with your computer on your chest, the hinges will really tear some hair out; bottom front of the computer really did into the stomach like a knife - rubberized front only makes the issue worse. Any movement is like ripping off a band aid. I'll spare you the photo. Screen is still too dense for a number of applications.

I wanted something portable, practical, and very easy to use. It's no wonder why the ratings are as high as they are. Great buy. I thought it'd be like any other laptop, tablet, 2 in 1; however after looking/working with the Lenovo Yoga, compared to others, the Yoga just blows the competition away.

    Noisy Fan That Runs Nonstop

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The laptop is ultra light and great if you travel much. However, the fan is super noisy and runs almost nonstop, even when your CPU usage is low. This problem was quite extreme to the point where the fan would be running even when the laptop was in sleep mode. I exchanged my unit thinking it may be a faulty unit but the problem continued to consist. The Lenovo support forum had other customers complain about the same issue, and their support team recommended to upgrade its BIOS. I upgraded the BIOS and the problem continued to consisted. I decided to return it and stick to the Samsung 9.

    Great laptop for college student

After some research into 2-in1s I decided on the Yoga 900. Previous laptop lasted 5 yrs but battery finally gave out. Having an SSD drive boot up in seconds is incredible compared to what I was used to. The only disadvantage is the lack of ports. As such I bought a USB-C to HDMI/VGA adapter to be able to hook up the laptop to projectors in order to perform presentations. Overall, I am extremely happy with this laptop and recommend the investment.

    Great ultra portable laptop

Very sleek, light weight, yet powerful configuration, perfect for what I was looking for for portability. Got it as an open box item, works like a charm. The only problem I have had is heating vents, vents are places near the hinges, so the bottom part of screen and the laptop gets heated up, but not a problem if using in tablet mode.

    Trouble from the start

I had high hopes for this computer. But the trouble started immediately. Within the first couple of days the display driver crashed several times, and the touchpad functions came and went, then the wireless function started doing the same. Additional problems were with the software installer/uninstaller. That piece hung when uninstalling Mcafee, then the installer hung when installing Webroot and also the subscription MS 365 Office package. Took the machine back within the return period for a refund. Glad to be rid of it!

So on the recommendation of a tech savvy friend I bought this laptop in Dec 2015. It crashed and went black screen by the middle of January. Went back was given a new one. This one lasted until today when the laptop went black screen again. Best buy helped me with get things squared away and I am now looking for a new laptop. One time...it happens....2 times same problem and time frame....there may be an issue

Last Year I saw this beauty and man was it fast, portable, and convenient. I decided to upgrade and buy this product. I have had it for nearly 7 months and couldn't be happier. However, after buying a protective case to install, I guess I put too much pressure on the screen and it cracked completely, hence came a nightmare. Lenovo has the worst customer service ever! It has been a month and every tech that I speak to tells me something completely different. Don't trust this brand, if you can buy geek squad. Even Geek Squad can provide better service.

Very shoddy quality, better to buy cheaper brands

Lenovo laptops are not the same old IBM workhorses. Quality is exceedingly low, and service not up to the mark. For my business use, I purchased a high end Lenovo Yoga 900 (in the $1400 range) which immediately after it's 1 yr warranty was over, refused to power up or charge. The Lenovo service center is charging me $80 just to figure out the problem, and has suggested a possible $400 for eventual repair. No other brand I've purchased has given such a terrible experience - Dell, HP, Sony, Toshiba, Apple. Why would someone buy a $1500 Lenovo when even the cheapest $300 HP machine doesn't go bust after a year? Lenovo refused to repair it or even tell me what is wrong - free of charge.

The Yoga 900 is a great 2 in 1. Phenomenal battery life, great screen, comfortable keyboard and mouse pad. The only downfall found which deducted a star is there is absolutely no digital pen support. Even the capacitive pens are sketchy.

    Issues

I got this for graduate school for notes. I have issues with the touch screen functions every single day multiple times a day now. I constantly have to shut off my laptop and restart it. It will freeze and the functions like highlighting notes won't even work. For days at a time my brightness button won't work. It won't even let me go to the settings and change it when this happens. I've also had issues reading online when I turn to tablet mode it will scroll up and down with nothing touching the screen. Gets very annoying. I bought this laptop a few months ago or I would return it.
