However, the layout of the right-hand shift key is very troublesome. For a touch typist it causes numerous problems. Lenovo has not offered any type of alternative keyboard layout

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.
Great buy minus the singe USB port

Also hard to find correct docking station we went through 2 of the ones from best-buy that weren't compatible ended up having to go through Lenovo directly and that one is finicky as well! Other than that great buy!

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 910-14. This system should not freeze. This sounds like a software compatibility issue. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

The More I Learn, The More I Like.

Lots of power in a small footprint, solid-state memory and speed. I wanted the 2-in-1 functionality. I did not want a lot of bragware you get when you buy a PC, so I had the GeekSquad set up my machine and eliminate it. The more I use it, the more I love my Lenovo Yoga 910. I look forward to many years of use from it. Thanks, Best Buy and Geek Squad. You were so helpful in making this a satisfactory experience.

Initially I bought the 8GB 256GB Yoga 910, not wanting to spend $1500 having never owned a Lenovo, but once I tried it, I took it back and got the 16 GB, 1TB knowing that it was worth spending the extra $$$ - and I'm so happy I did! Lastly, it looks really badass - I get questions/complements on it all the time when working from Starbucks.

The right shift key is miniature and this is a huge pain. The windows operating system did not work which resulted in returning the device.

Performed really well except for one thing; it does not have an active screen. This means that it is like your smartphone or other tablet in that it is touch capable for fingers, etc., but not active pens like the Bamboo Ink. NO Windows Ink for this unit. The BB website and description are flat incorrect that it has an active, not passive, screen - I can tell you from online confirmation and personal testing. To me, this is a HUGE deficiency for a 2 in 1 or a tablet now. So, it went back to BB and we picked up a HP Spectre x360 instead. If you don't care about using a pen for drawing, note taking, etc., then this would be a great unit for you.

My only complaint is that certain third party software does not display legibly on this HD screen. Specifically QuickBooks and Finale. Hoping for fixes in future releases of these programs.
