Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 910-14. With regard to the fan running while running YouTube, the fan is there to keep the system at optimum temperature. Running a video, even a short one, will generate heat by way of the work that the processor is doing, therefore the fan will come on. This is normal. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

While I enjoyed the mac, the price of a replacement was too prohibitive. Spent a lot of time researching various options and finally pulled the trigger on the Lenova Yoga 910. Have zero regrets about this purchase. I use it daily and its problem free - fast and an unbelievable screen. And, about $1500 less than a comparable Mac.

I like the size and portability. The keyboard is fairly easy to use but is missing an "end" key which I use fairly often. Ctrl arrow is the substitute for a dedicated key and I'm learning to remember it is there. I'm not a big fan of the metal case. It looks sleek, but is cold on the hands and scuffs easily. It does clean up well if I take the time to rub out the spots. Tablet mode is slow to adjust. Not the quick response of a real tablet when switching directions. Performance seems so/so. I don't use powerpoint, photoshop and other graphics programs frequently, but when I do I don't want lag when moving multiple photos or opening files. This laptop isn't nearly as responsive as I anticipated based on the specs and other review. Leads to frustration when compiling large images.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 910-14. This system should be a fast system with its Core I-57processor, 512GB solid state hard drive and 16GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

Hot, plus misplaced shift key

So when I was shopping this year for me, I bought the Lenovo 910. One problem presented right away. My husband is a two finger typer, so I never noticed that the right shift key on the keyboard is shrunk and moved over to the right so far that when I type I kept hitting the up key to the left of it. The second issue was the heat that it generated was extremely uncomfortable. The entire hinge got hot. I returned it for a MS Surface. I'm very happy with Best Buy and the Geek Squad for their efforts to make me a satisfied customer. Would not recommend this Lenovo, but I would find it hard to buy a computer anywhere else but Best Buy.

I'm glad I opted for the 2 in one. When I'm surfing the notepad fits conveniently in my lap. Only negative so far is the position of the right shift key. And I'm loving the long battery life. I can work all day and not worry about running out of juice.

I called Geek Squad and sent it in, they claimed to have fixed it but the laptop did not power on after I recharged it. Called Geek Squad again and was told they would send a box so I could send the laptop back-- this never happened. My company purchased a second Yoga for my use that is working fine-- they are dealing directly with Lenovo to resolve the issue with the initial purchase. I like all of the Yoga features; I don't like that Geek Squad delivered such poor customer service.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 910-14. With regard to the issues with the first unit, This system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the right side of the device, right near the power button on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files.

The Yoga 910 has the look AND feel of my 2015 Retina Macbook Pro. I really like the fact that this Yoga features USB C for Charging and peripherals too, which is what all current laptops should come with! The 4k screen is beautiful and the Trackpad FEELS GREAT, which is very uncommon on Windows Laptops today.

Great laptop ruined by bad keyboard and fans

Exchanged it for the HP Spectre 360 which has it's own issues but is still far better on balance.
