This laptop has been awesome in speed, functionality and mobility. Although I don't like windows 10! Feels like I have a nanny!

It's very small and light weight and so far seems to be working great. The only think I wish it had was a larger hard drive. But this is really a great computer for the price.

Specifications says 15 hours.... I really expect at least 6 hours. My last Lenovo charge in less than 1 hour and last more than 4 hours

Posted .There is something wrong. The battery life on this device is up to 15 hours, depending on the work that the device is performing. Be sure there is no unwanted programs running in the background on the device. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults.

One issue I found is sometimes the fan noise is too loud and trackpad slides taking arrow to some other direction.

Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Concerning the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

The right side shift key is smaller than normal, so I am constantly pressing the up arrow key. They should have make the arrow keys smaller and left the shift key the regular size.

Posted .With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

I agree that it can get loud but a huge improvement over my 5+year old laptop. Very lightweight, i brought it to class every day and it was perfect!

Concerning more USB port, you can increase USB ports by using a USB hub with this device and regarding an ethernet connection, you can add ethernet connectivity to this device by using a USB to ethernet adapter.

As a college student I was looking for something with battery life and I found it. I will leave it on all day , close it carry it around, use it for running programs like filezilla, notepad, atom, eclipse, and browsing the web and it will last me a solid 10 hours! No joke. When watching videos or Netflix it tends to not last as long but still impressive. It's so thin and lightweight , I am almost afraid if I pick it up with one hand i'll break it. It is sturdy with the metal casing. The hinges are amazing! When I type the screen does not jiggle like most others, my brother has the HP spectre and is jealous of my sturdy screen When I put it in the tent style it stays put and does not fall down. The minimal screen bezel is outstanding and so easy to look at with the edge to edge feel. The touch screen is very responsive . Unfortunately it does not work with a pen but that's nothing that should steer you away. The only thing that is weird is the camera placement, it is at the bottom of the screen and has a slight odd angle and you can see the keyboard in the picture but it's not bad at all. The touch pad is very responsive and the keyboard is super easy to type on. Only 1 USB port but haven't run into issues with not having more. No HDMI port only USB type c that you can get an adapter cable for. It does have an headphone jack. I was very hesitant to buy this because of the limited ports but everything else sold me. The color is amazing, finally something different than silver. I searched for months for a laptop , went back and forth between a few and am so glad I chose this one. It is so sleek it makes everyone else bend their necks to get a look. The fan can get a little loud when having alot of tabs open and when first using, but after you update it it isn't really noticeable. I love this laptop so much and just can't get over the 10 hour battery life because I was so skeptical of that.
