Still getting used to Windows 10

I am still getting used to the capabilities of this new machine, especially since I am new to Windows 10 so the learning curve is steep for me. Reserving judgement on 10! I love the screen, the size is perfect and the screen is sharp and easily viewed from different angles. The ability to use as a tablet is great and the watchband hinge seems very stable. Especially love the touchscreen response. The fingerprint reader has worked flawlessly. Can't comment on the battery life yet.

With regard to learning your way around Windows 10, you may want to try YouTube.com (just type that address in your browser address window). There are hundreds for free instructional videos there about Windows 10. Just type Windows 10 Introduction in to the YouTube search window. You can watch free videos there that will show you the basics all the way up to tips and tricks videos and they're all free.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the lenovo Yoga 920-14. This is an ultra-portable configuration, measuring just 0.5 inch thick. This limits the amount of space available for ports. You can use a USB Hub and/or a universal port replicator to add additional ports to this device.

Quality as expected from Lenovo

No numeric keypad and slightly overpriced, only 4 stars due to this. Unit comes with a stylus pen, unlike others that make you buy it separately. Very strong build quality with the hinge, however the ribbon is exposed on the hinge which is not good if dust gets inside. Not sure how the unit cools as I do not notice any fans. Very thin unit, very powerful. I wish the keyboard was better laid out and the touchpad was slightly better quality. Charger cable brick is a little big for this generation laptops.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 920-14. This system has an onboard fan to maintain the proper operating temperature of the device. The venting is through the hinge area. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

All Lenovo laptops should have some battery charge when they leave the factory, but it is possible that the battery became completely drained on the first Yoga 920-14 you purchased. Always charge a new laptop for at least 15-minutes before trying to turn on.

My personal laptop. No regrets!! I've bought/used many, many laptops through the years, and this one is more *satisfying* to use than any. The physical design is stellar. Case is solid, it does everything I need it to do and more. Use it daily, on morning commute, during the work day, on trips, and at home. Would quickly and unhesitatingly recommend to anyone. If available ports, SSD size, etc., suit you.... this is it. Can't miss.

This is a high performance system with its Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor and 8GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM and a 256GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal.
