Not entirely convinced by the new trackpad

Like the 900, this had some teething problems connecting to docking stations. It worked fully with one, a Dell, but it only partially worked with the one we purchased with it, a j5create. Both were annoying in that they connect through the power lead, but it is so short, especially the j5create. We aren't wild about the trackpad. It's supposed be an upgrade on previous ones, but it is hard to see or feel the edges of it, and it is difficult to do a right-click sometimes. The fingerprint reader works for me, but not my wife. It came with Windows 10, and we had to force it to upgrade to Windows 11, which we regret installing a little bit.

I replace my Lenovo Thinkpad I had for 7 years with this one. I always have had go luck with Lenovo. I have upgraded the Hard Drive to 1TB and bought a portable USB-c Dock for it to. I purchased it as an Open Box. It was suppose to have a year warrantee. It has taken me two weeks to get to someone in best that knows how the warrantee works with Lenovo. I had to contact Lenovo and send them a copy of my receipt to upgrade the warrantee from 3 month to 12 month. This is the only problem I have and with it.

Unstable Wi-fi connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I was hoping to be able to use it for school, work (tutoring English online), and some editing on Photoshop/ Lightroom. While it has a lot of pros (it's lightweight, has incredible speakers, and the screen is beautiful) none of that matters because it was virtually impossible for it to keep a stable wi-fi connection. When I ran an internet speed test, it consistently got around 0.18Mbps download and 0.08Mbps upload, despite being fairly close to the router. To make sure it wasn't an issue with my router, I ran the test on my Asus laptop (which is nearly 5 years old) and it got about 80Mbps download. I contacted Lenovo, and they sent a technician to replace the wi-fi chip. He had to replace the whole motherboard since the chip couldn't be removed. He showed me how small the wi-fi chip was, and suggested that I return the laptop even if it ended up working. It didn't work - actually it was much worse afterwards. If you were thinking of purchasing this laptop, I would skip it and go with another one. It seems like a lot of people have had similar issues, so it's possible that most of them will have the same defect.

Posted .The Lenovo Intel Evo-Certified Yoga 9i-14 ships with the latest Intel 6G, Wide-Range/High Speed 2x2 802.11AX frequency WiFi which is also backward compatible to older b/g/n/ac frequency WiFi. If you are having WiFi connection problems, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all of the BIOS files and all of the drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Great specs, the screen is fantastic. I got the Yoga 9i 14 2-in-1 14" 4K HDR Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Evo Platform Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 512GB SSD. For entertainment is great, music, movies, 4K looks absolutely wonderful. Graphic card is decent, entry level for games. Battery life could be better, giving me around 6 hours at FullHD settings

This model configuration ships with Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics Version, integrated within the Intel Core i7-1185G7 Processor within this model. This Configuration ships with a Integrated 60Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this model configuration, has a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. You can turn off the Battery Conservation Mode within the Lenovo Vantage APP. Select Device, then Power. Turn off Conservation Mode. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. Screen size, power, memory , battery life , and not at all bulky . If you are having difficulty charging the included rechargeable Active Pen, be sure the pen is inserted completely into the pen charging garage. The charge for the pen should last approximately one hour under continuous use. The pen should attain 80-Percent charge in approximately 30-minutes, full charge in approximately 60-minutes.
