Really cool and unique product, too soon for most

The only issues are the price, lack of upgradability, and performance. If you could have 32gb of ram and a slightly more powerful cpu/less thermally throttled, this laptop would be basically perfect and worth the price. Really cool proof of concept, but I don’t think it’s for most consumers yet.

Display is beautiful, and the on screen trackpad is acceptable for a first gen attempt at this form factor. Hook up your Samsung/iPad, and suddenly you have three full size, high resolution displays. My only gripe is the mouse, which I will replace with my own, but lacks the quality feel of the keyboard. Will see how it holds up over time, but I plan to deploy this to my entire staff. Also - please make a 15 inch version!!

Not really a “laptop”.. gets too hot

The magnets for the keyboard are much too loose and shifts around while typing. The hard drive is not replaceable and you will run out of space relatively quickly with only 512 GB. Terrible battery life – I only got two or three hours. Overall, yes you do have two screens, but for my purposes, very limited use, especially given the high price. If your work is mostly remote, this laptop might fit your needs.

Regarding the heat produced, the Yoga Book 9i features an active cooling system, along with other components and software, enable the user to power through work without throttling due to heat produced. We recommend that the bottom of the device, where the air intake vents are, is clear of obstructions to increase air flow. Additionally, most Lenovo laptops have a feature called Smart Control, enabling the user to use the key command combination of Fn + Q to toggle between thermal/performance mode. In instances where you may use the device in your lap, we recommend switching to cool or quiet mode to help with the heat felt on the bottom of the machine. Also, please check for and apply any available updates through Lenovo Vantage and Windows Update Settings to help ensure you are using the latest software and drivers to maintain device health. Should your issue persist after these fixes, we recommend reaching out to Lenovo Tech Support and providing a representative with details of your issue, so that they may help by providing a solution for you.
