You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. He has some pretty involved programs from his business that take up a decent amount of memory. He needs speed and this computer provided both the space and the speed. Graphics are great. He is not a gamer, but I am a professional photographer, and I am impressed by the graphic capabilities. It's a Lenovo - so it certainly lives up to its reputation as a total workhorse.

A Great Little Laptop

It is used constantly, is fast, and does so much. In all this time, I have always used it as a laptop, didn't disengage the keyboard, so I can't comment on that. Hope I don't jinx myself, but the Lenova has worked perfectly since I purchased it.. The only negatives for this machine is the keyboard. Keys are only slightly raised from the base, so I've been reduced to the hunt and peck system for a lot of my uses, and, the charge cord plug-in is unusual, and seems frail to me.

I described to the sales person what I wanted with specific brands and models. She suggested the Lenovo instead. It is an extremely fast machine. It boots up fast, Shuts down fast, and just plain runs fast. The only negatives I find are that when I touch something by accident, like the screen or the mouse pad, it goes off into undesirable places on the screen. This may more be a "feature" of windows than due to the computer. I am concerned that the SSD only has 250GB of memory, but I haven't filled it yet. I may just have to be careful.

If the issue continues, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer. Then update all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. The ease of setup was slightly more difficult or it could be I'm just getting old. I use this for business, I'm an insurance agent processing Medicare enrollments online. It works well with all the webinars that I attend for training. I'm not a gamer and I don't watch movies on it but from what I can see the graphics are terrific. You'll have to buy an adapter for additional USB & HDMI outlets. This Lenovo only comes with 2 USB and no HDMI outlets. When you buy an adapter get one with an ethernet outlet. Otherwise there's only Wi-Fi.

Most PC laptops are plastic and I appreciate the aluminum especially as a mostly MacBook Pro user. Computer is fast enough and flips over to "convert" into a tablet. I'm sure someone will use this feature but not me. Keys on keyboard are nice but not great. The trackpad caused some typing issues for me when I was using it in bed (not to be unexpected). I wouldn't trade my MBP for it but for a laptop on the inexpensive side during the back to school sale it is an amazing deal.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga C740-15, model number 81TD0003US, ships with a standard QWERTY keyboard with 10 key numeric pad. There is 1.5 mm key travel for a great typing experience. You can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings, for a customized response. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.
