It has all the best features including lighted keyboard, touch screen, 2:1 capability to be a laptop or large tablet, fast Intel processor, 12gb memory and 256gb SSD. The only issue so far is lack of documentation on using some of the features

It’s got a fun touchscreen, is light and is perfect for on the go. Here’s why I gave it three stars. 1. There’s a major audio problem of which I’ve called text support twice and tried searching online for the solution. The mic doesn’t work and that’s terrible for zoom calls. It was sold to me this way and I hate that I was sold a defective computer. 2. There’s no HDMI port or internal DVD player. 3. The memory isn’t bad but for the price point, I think it should come with more memory. Lenovo tech support is attempting to fix what Best Buy sold to me as a defective computer and I hope they make good on their product. I can’t believe that I just got this computer and already have to send it in for a repair.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga C740-15. Regarding the microphone issue, be sure the audio within the APP you are using is turned on. The APPs audio controls override the system audio controls when the APP is in use. You can test the microphone offline to be sure it is working. Use the Windows 10 Audio Recorder to test the microphone: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028308/windows-10-how-to-use-voice-recorder. The Yoga C740-15 uses a USB-c port with video out capability for connecting an external monitor to this computer. You can connect an HDMI external monitor to this computer with a USB-c to HDMI adapter. The Yoga C740-15 is an ultra-portable configuration, it is not thick enough to house an internal CD?DVD drive. You can use an external, USB-based, Windows 10 compatible CD/DVD drive with the Yoga C740-15. The Yoga C740-15 ships with a 256GB NVMe TLC solid state hard drive for fast response and data recall.

Hinge is perfect for all Yoga poses doesn't feel like I'm forcing or breaking when moving between tablet, tent mode and regular use. Display is bright and responsive, I like that the backlit keyboard has a number pad! Camera privacy shutter also a plus and very discreet. Great for students handles most light browsing, notetaking and social media very well, also did light gaming with no lag( Didn't try any heavy games). It is very strong has dropped a couple times and endured some bumps came out unscathed except for minor cosmetic scratches. Drawbacks include no SD card Reader and HDMI port. Had to pick up a USB-C hdmi hub that provided all the other functionality. Didn't come with a pen in the box like in some other markets. Wanted it for notes in classes. It was advertised as having thunderbolt ports but only has regular USB C ports couldn't be bothered to return it but was very disappointed. All in all a great laptop for students.

The screen resolution is great, the speeds online and to open a new application is pretty quick. The battery life is pretty good too! I've download pretty big apps and I still haven't used up a lot of memory. I would recommend for daily use of a laptop.

Last fall, I decided I was ready to switch from my college MacBook Air to a PC 2-in-1. As someone who does EVERYTHING online/in the cloud (internet browsing, work stuff, streaming, etc.), there was just no need to continue paying MacBook prices when PC laptops have can do everything I need for much less $$$. I originally purchased a Dell Inspiron 13in last October and was totally happy with it, but with the switch to working at home due to COVID-19, I desperately needed a bigger screen. I had two dealbreakers: I wanted a 15in touchscreen with a resolution of at least 1920x1080. This computer was everything I wanted and more. After I opened the box, I was up and running in less than 5 minutes. It's sturdy but not bulky, with a sleek finish and nice keyboard. The keyboard is backlit (with three light options: off, dim, and bright), plus a privacy webcam shutter (I've never seen a computer with this before). The screen is BEAUTIFUL. Crisp, clear, great colors, and responsive to touch. While I don't envision myself using the tablet mode that often (I didn't much with my 13in anyways), it's nice having the option. If you're looking for an above average touchscreen 15in PC, you can't do much better than the Yoga C740.

The Lenovo laptop is very fast and can handle video editing (nice). The screen is sharp and bright. Using the laptop in tablet mode takes some tweaking of the settings...but not too difficult. Turning the backlight keyboard on and off requires use of the Function key and the spacebar (odd) but I've gotten used to it. The quirk is connecting it to an external monitor. I had to purchase an adapter to convert the UCS-c to HDML. It works, but it adds a power-brick-sized dongle you have to carry around if you're going to use a HDMI projector or monitor. Strangely, the external monitor WILL NOT wake up when the computer goes to sleep; you have to remove the usb and plug it back in to wake up the external monitor. The Lenovo help desk was...unhelpful. Overall, the laptop is powerful, quiet, and seems to be solidly built.

I chose Lenovo because that is the brand chosen by my employer for those of us who need to have a laptop as well as a desktop. This unit came with good size & newest technology hard drive, good amount of Ram and HD display as well as state of the art processor and latest version of Windows. This unit starts up quickly, processes fast and just feels substantial. Great display as well. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase and waited for it to be on sale so got good price (better than Lenovo.com even) too.

It is fast, reliable, lots of storage and easy to use. The screen is big enough for me to see without being enormous. The keys are really nice to type on. Full keyboard is nice to have. The only knock on it that I have is that it is heavy. Many other laptops are much lighter. I thought since it was skinny and rather small that it would be lighter. I can't carry it in my crossbody briefcase because it is so heavy that it hurts (the briefcase is pretty heavy but my last computer did not add that much weight).
