You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. Just type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you ever need additional help with your Lenovo computer, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

I definitely learned my lesson. So I hit my local Best Buy and did some research. I chose this Lenovo Yoga C740. from the second I turned it on I knew what speed was. this laptop is FAST. Its so packed with features that I cant even begin to start. It was definitely worth the money I spent. and luckily was at a lower price at the time of purchase.

Good laptop slow SSD

Immediately I noticed the hard drive was slow. Despite having a ssd, the ssd load time was really slow. I replaced the ssd almost immediately after I bought it. With a new ssd this computer works great. Based on the specs I think I could have got a better deal for my money if I shopped around a little more.

Perfect for running my business, shopping, video calls to VOIP to music. I am not a gamer. The backlit keyboard is a game changer, even in daylight! I am so happy with this machine this was my second while the first one, purchased in January, was shipped off to GeekSquad for repair during the pandemic. I could not and would go three weeks without my unit while it was in repair. Now I need a keyboard cover... if anyone finds one for this laptop, please share the link!

I really like the Lenovo brand. Last year's model was better for a soft touch keyboard. This model, purchased online due to the corona virus, was not exactly what I wanted but in this troubled time, I did not have time to shop.....I wish I could have seen and used it before spending that much money. Last year's model was perfect but due to everyone being home and going to school online, everyone used it and I needed my own for work.
