I also didn't have to use my lap pad since this Lenovo doesn't get as hot as my larger one. So far I'm very happy with this laptop and would recommend a Lenovo laptop to anyone in school,work, or home. No project is to big for this PC.

The larger touch screen, the nice keyboard with the 10 key plus the solid state drive were what I was looking for. It's very light and I can easily carry it. I love it and expect it to last for quite some time.

Posted .Once again, thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C740-15. You can keep your computer running at its best by keeping the Windows 10 Operating System and all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you ever need additional help with your Lenovo computer, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Great lightweight laptop

I have not seen an SSD hard drive with a 1 tb size so 512 is best for now. These drives run much faster then standard hard drive. I would have given 5 stars but would have liked a 3gz processor speed.

I am a student, and it perfectly fulfills all the tasks I need it to. The ten-key pad is so helpful, and I think it is well worth getting the larger sized laptop. It has been so helpful already. The 15 inch doesn't feel too big, even in tablet mode, so I think the bigger laptop was the best option for me. The fan occasionally gets a little bit loud, but I have only noticed that happening twice now. The only other "con" I have noticed is the placement of the speaker. It is on the bottom of the laptop, so unless I have my computer sitting on a desk the sound is very muffled and fairly quiet. Even when on a desk, I have to turn the volume up fairly loud for things to be heard. Again, this is the only negative thing I have found thus far, and it is fairly minimal considering all of the other positive things about the laptop. If you are planning on using your internal speakers a lot without headphones, the newer model could be worth the money because the speaker is in a different spot.

Best laptop I ever had

I started using it a little over a month ago and have not had any problems with anything. Every bit of software installed without a glitch. I updated it with a couple of Lenovo updates and all of Windows updates. This machine has an Intel i7-10510U CPU, 12 gigs of memory, 500 GB SSD drive and Windows 10 (64-bit). This is so a fast it took over a week to relearn typing! This laptop replaced my Lenovo 75-50. I had to buy a LAN hub and a Card reader/HDMI, no problem though they worked great. The tablet mode and the touch screen is awsome. The best thing about this is, the battery lasts all day, unbelievable! I would recommend this to anyone who needs a 2 in one that is very reliable!

My old laptop started to slow down extremely, which was very frustrating. After spending hours researching for a new one, I started to get confused because there were too many options and I ended up returning one (HP.com) after not liking it. I decided to go to BestBuy in-store, so I can inspect some laptops for myself. The Lenovo was the one. It is fast, well-built, and packed with features. I love the display, it's very bright and vivid. The Yoga C740 has a good amount of storage and memory. Also, it doesn't feel cheap. My only gripe is that it gets a little hot when charging it while in use. Overall, I'm glad I found a nice laptop to use for school. Good job Lenovo for the effort on making this laptop.

This broke something inside the monitor but we had no protective coverage. After buying this laptop we purchased the protection plan (just in case). This laptop is very fast for clerical work, streaming videos and everyday use. Zoom and Skype get used a lot too through our WiFi connection. We have a portable CD/DVD player so if and when that is necessary. I wish there was one more USB 3.1 port. You get three ports on this computer, seems there was plenty of room for one more. Be that as it may, it's a nice laptop and the touch screen and quality viewing are excellent.

It’s an all around device and very sturdy. It’s fast and versatile. Also, you don’t need to be a computer guru to use its features. The only negative is my experience with Lenovo themselves; hence why I bought through Best Buy. I have owned many 2in1 devices including the Microsoft’s surface and Androids galaxy tabs and I rank the lenovo yoga #1. Also, heads up, You’ll need the Wacom bamboo 2nd gen pen to work with this, the active capacity 2 does NOT work with it as I was told it would.

The screen is HD which makes viewing exceptionally clear. The computer itself is well made. You can use this computer as a tablet which gives it double duty. There is no cd/dvd drive so you will need a usb cd/dvd drive should you have the need. Not expensive and is available at Best Buy. It also does not have an Ethernet port so the same applies, Best Buy sells a usb/Ethernet port. It has bluetooth and wireless. Very satisfied with the purchase.

The older laptop had a higher resolution but the newer laptop has a bigger screen and is easier for me to see. This Laptop is heavier than my older one but it has a sturdier frame and doesn't flex as much. I really like the larger keyboard and the number pad as my older computer didn't have the number pad. The keys have a soft touch and are quiet when pressing, they also have 2 brightness settings on the back light key settings. The speed of the computer exceeds my older computer and runs my games and programs more smoothly.

Fast and solid laptop

I knew from using my kids' laptops that I wanted one that wasn't too big and had sufficient speed and battery to let me do my work easily. So far, it's been great. I love that it has two usb ports since I like using a mouse. The graphics colors are superb and the keyboard is very responsive. I also like that it has a camera cover since there are times when I just don't feel like being seen during Zoom meetings. This model does NOT come with a stylus so I can't comment on the touch-screen aspect. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I bought it out of the Watertown MA store and it arrived ahead of schedule. 2 of my friends own Lenovo Yoga's as well and they love them too! This unit was made in April of 2020 and I bought it in July. I had a rather uncalled for experience with Acer online where, yeah, the thing was discounted, but it was also a year and a half old according to the tag on the bottom of the unit. Ticked me off, plus it was too small and cumbersome to use. To add insult to injury they would not pay for the return shipping. Bad deal from Acer. Stick with Lenovo!

Good speed, great boot up speed. Fingerprint security bonus. Keyboard has two levels of backlighting making it easier for night/evening use. Only complaint is ports: only USB C port is power port, so, if plugged in, not available. No HDMI port and only two USB A ports. Makes a USB hub not optional, but virtually required. Touchscreen and flexibility to fold to tablet mode are nice, but I don't use that often. I can't say much about battery life because I'm almost always plugged in, or when not plugged in, for short times only. All in all, happy with buy.

I have had very good experience with Lenovo and urged her to consider it for starting college. She agrees it will do everything she will need a device to do for some years to come - convert to tablet mode and Windows Ink compatible for her doodling and hand note taking, big screen for her video watching in dorm room, light enough for backpack toting, more storage than she will need an good amount of Memory for multitasking, etc. She loves it and I think it will serve her well. It would serve me well to if I could afford to get one for myself too!
