The Lenovo Yoga C930-14 model number 81C4000HUS, ships with a 4CELL_60WH, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 12 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting less than anticipated battery life, first, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. The Lenovo Yoga C930-14 is a high performance system with its Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor, 12GB of DDR4-2400MHz RAM and a 256GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. When the device is charging it will generate additional heat from the AC adapter/charger as well. This is all normal behavior. If you feel the device is running too hot, we recommend you have your local Best Buy Geek Squad examine the device to be sure it is running properly.
