Powerful, and after trying other laptop I can say this is the only one I tried that does not seem to overheat, I never/seldom hear the CPU fan. And the battery lasts a long time. The camera has a privacy screen that slides off to one side. I found this screen nearly impossible to find. It would help immensely if they made the slider red or yellow to help new users find it.

It can be tricky to see so we also included a feature to show when the privacy shutter is closed there is a red covering over the camera lens.

This model has the latest processor (i7 10th gen) which is running my school software, a webpage, and Word simultaneously without lag. I was deciding between this and the 13.5” Spectre. The Spectre had a bigger hard drive but the graphics are comparable and the Yoga has a bigger screen. For school I use cloud storage so the hard drive isn’t a huge factor for me, plus I have an external. The Yoga is also slimmer, lighter, and I like the chic metallic case. The graphics for the c940 Yoga with UHD and 10th gen are outstanding. The battery charge holds up great, I was able to work on it all day with a charge and didn’t plug it in again until about 10pm.

The size and weight are perfect for use on the go, it starts up extremely quickly (using the fingerprint reader), the picture is stunning (4k) and the battery life is decent. The first few charging cycles were only giving me about 4 hours of battery life, but after that I have been getting 7 hours give or take. Nowhere near the 10+ hours the manufacturer claims, but decent. This is my first 2-in-1 and I would highly recommend one. The built-in pen is fun but I don't use it much. I haven't tried taking notes on it but the few times I scribbled on it, it did a good job of recognizing words. Reading books in tablet mode is a great. And the sound is very good from the rotating soundbar (both sonically and spatially)...I actually enjoy watching movies and TV shows on it while it is flipped up so the keyboard is facing down.

Also we recommend ensuring that "Battery Conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. I wanted to love this laptop

From what I read online, the battery on this model is far superior to the previous one, and the fans are quieter. While the battery is in fact better, the heating is much worse. The laptop fans run constantly and loudly. I purchased the highest available warranty on Lenovo's website and cannot for the life of me figure out how to redeem it to replace the heat sinks. On top of that, this laptop has had a bsod twice already. While the laptop is beautiful and actually runs decently, it is nowhere near where it should be for the price point. I regret spending this amount of money on a laptop which I do not have faith in to last for longer than a year.

This laptop is fast, the keys have nice traction and the track pad is sensitive. The fingerprint scanner makes logging in a breeze. I would recommend this product.

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K Model number 81Q90041US, ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The 14" screen size, portability, and weight are perfect; and, the picture quality is fantastic. I pulled up some nature, sports, aerial, cityscape videos filmed in 4k (ultra HD), and the picture quality and clarity are breathtaking. The laptop shell, keyboard layout, and keys quality are superb, and the available sound settings found in the built-in Dolby Atmos Speaker System settings app give options for various sound modes. I love the laptop - from its color, functionality, design - everything! I miss having a 10-key, considered the 15.6", but the weight was more important. I purchased an external Bluetooth 10-key, and it serves my need and purpose. If you can wait to get this laptop during a Best Buy sale - all the better.

The package I bought was economically very good. The versatility of flipping back and forth between laptop and tablet is nice but I don't use it as often as I thought I would. The screen size is not optimal, I wish I had gone to 15" and spent the $. Give that a thought if you are considering this machine. Great touch screen!

While the initial bootup was fast, opening just a couple of browser windows triggered the fan (which sounded like a vacuum cleaner) and made the unit extremely hot— to the extent that I couldn’t place my hands on it. Also, soon thereafter, the laptop was sluggish and kept freezing. Keep in mind that I didn’t have more than 2-3 browser tabs open. Absolute disappointment. Oh, and the battery drains rapidly! So bummed.

The issues you describe may indicate that incompatible software has been installed on the computer. Windows 10 Home Operating System should not freeze. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will increase system workload causing the computer to run hot and Windows 10 can fail. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. Small and Reasonably Powerful

Excellent little laptop. i7 and 16GB make it powerful enough for most users. 512SSD is good size. Laptop is small, light, well built metal housing. Screen is excellent. Performance is good for laptop (used to more powerful desktop). Very good machine for someone looking for a fairly powerful laptop n the small form factor.

Working good

This was an exchange from my c930 model. I do like the older model a little better for a couple of reasons. This 940 gets hot on my lap and my older 930 did not. I liked that about it better it gets uncomfortable. Who knows maybe that's the reason the 930 broke it needed airflow? Who knows. Sometimes the touch pad on this new one doesn't react like my old 930. Its still very good just a lil different at times. And the pen that it comes with in the docking port the new 940 it just slides out you have to grab it just right in this little nook to get it out. My old 930 it clicked in and out. All you had to do was push in on it and it popped up spring loaded like. Then it was easier to grab it and remove it. So far so good. Everything else is great.
