The sales staff where excellent in reviewing the features of the device. Everything in stock (device, pencil, magic keyboard). Very pleasant experience. The device is working well for my son. He's using it mainly for note taking and looking up info on the web. Hand writing with the pencil is buttery smooth. No lag when scrolling. Can have many apps open with no hit to performance. A bit of overkill for now, but should pay dividends over his remaining years at school.

They are both top-shelf laptops. The one area that I think the Lenovo beats the Spectre is on the screen. The 4K screen on the Lenovo is better than the 4K screen on the Spectre. Other than that, it's a toss up. One issue I had with the Lenovo (which was my fault) is I couldn't access the camera. I had accidentally turned off the manual switch on the camera. After many hours of troubleshooting, I realized that it wasn't a software problem, but a manual switch on the screen. There is a very hard to find switch at the very top-center of the screen that will turn off the switch.

Overall Good but One Issue

There is a known issue with this laptop where the screen flickers several times a day due to a hardware accelerator. Updating the driver doesn't work...lenovo and microsoft aren't addressing the problem that affects so many people. Only way is to turnoff the accelerator in the apps you use.

Updating your Yoga C940-14 4K model to the latest version of Windows 10, then updating all BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10 should fix the issue you describe. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Good Laptop & Good Value

I was looking for something portable as she works between both office & home. This laptop is a good product for us. We are not "power users". Most of our business applications are online, with minimal work in MS Office. Speed is good for our needs. Screen resolution is good as well. I had my search narrowed down to this laptop, a MS Surface Pro 7, and the HP - ENVY x360 2-in-1 13.3" Touchscreen Laptop (Model 13m-bd0023dx). While the Lenovo has better overall specs, the several hundred dollars I saved with the sale price of this HP made the difference for me. So, I purchased the HP instead.

For Instance the owners manual and also they said that this was in perfect condition and geek squad certified so why does my volume buttons do not work at all

Therefore, it is essential for me to have a screen that is crisp and clear, but in a small footprint. The 4K screen with Lenovo is a dream to use. I have researched screens heavily and the specifics of this layout are the best. My only recommendation is that you MUST, backup. I of course did not, and for some strange reason my screen locked up. Bitlocker curse strikes. I could not get my prior Lenovo fixed - which led to more research, and repurchase of a Lenovo 940 rather than the 700 series I had previously. So, this computer is so good that I paid for it twice. Take that coronavirus!

It has Intel 10th generation if you like your laptop has Intel® Evo™ Platform so this laptop is not for you. Also, I like to mention that the pen is fine but it is not really comfortable. Overall, I recommend it.

Switching from having a Mac for 5 years was hard but having this computer made it easier. Wish the battery was what it said it should be. I’m not on it that much, just here and there and it doesn’t last all day. Disappointed in that!

It is normal for the computer to feel warm to the touch while the computer is plugged in and charging. Also, you can use Lenovo Q-Control to manually control fan performance: ( Fn + Q ) option to change the fan. The Yoga C940-14 4K ships with a 4CELL_60WH_INTERNAL, Lithium Polymer Battery, with a battery life of up to 10 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are only getting 3 hours battery life, check your Power Management settings. Be sure Battery Conservation Mode is turned off.
