Nightmare purchase so far.....?

Was very excited to have a new laptop. Then laptop black-screened on 8/6. Called BB on 8/7 to make appt to bring it in for repair. First available appt with Geek Squad was a week out on 8/15. Arrived on time for my appointment and then stood in line for 15 minutes. Woman was unfriendly while filling out paperwork that could have been done over the phone. Said they would quickly look at it while I was there and took it in the back room. Stood there another 20 minutes. Brought it back out and said she would have to send it out to the repair center and would take 2-6 weeks to get it back. On 8/26 (11 days later) was notified my laptop was finally received at the repair center. It has been 19 days now since it failed and no one qualified to repair laptops has looked at it yet. So... I get the whole "Covid has disrupted our business and things just take longer. Please be patient." thing but really??? Corrective action: Take the information you need from the customer over the phone and have customers drop items off at their convenience, not yours. Overnight it to your repair center on your dime if you can't fix it within 24 hours. Get it repaired in 24-48 hours or send me a new one. This process should have been done in less than a week and here we are at almost 3 weeks now.. and counting. Best Buy and Geek Squad, this is a fail in terms of customer service. I purchased this online on 6-1-2020 and not 6-9 as your system says. This has been a nightmare purchase and huge disappointment so far. Sad.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga C940-14 4K model. It is possible that resetting your computer back to original factory settings may fix the issue you describe. Since you can not boot the computer, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the bottom of the device, right near the bottom left corner of the cooling vent on the bottom device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. If the problem persists after the factory reset, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686.

I have yet to have an issue with one and I have owned numerous ones. Purchase from BB as they do a wonderful warrantee and its less of a headache than dealing with the manufacturer.

Boot time is very good, not IPAD good, but absolutely respectable.

You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. I use it every day for work and for daily use. The laptop set up is great and the tablet display is clean and bright. The device runs smoothly for video calls and multiple programs running at once. Runs a little warm when using while charging, but otherwise perfect.

Laptop in excellent condition, was missing the charging cord and is we manual which I downloaded from the manufacturer's website. Still under warranty.

It starts up quick, whether it was in sleep or powered off. The touchscreen is very responsive. Could use some additional onboard ports, but nothing a port replicator can't fix. I would buy again, and definitely recommend this computer.

Lenovo C940 screen flickering and warranty issues

I called the Lenovo Tech Support but they have no ideas. (2) The warranty is only good for one month, instead of the typical one year. I am still in the process of resolving this issue. (3) The price of this Lenovo Yoga C940 is really good - a decent bargain. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase, except for (1)-(2) mentioned above.

You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

The second one has been okay, but the touch pad does not appear to be functioning properly. I am waiting it out a bit to see if it improves with an update - but we may be going for round 3 with a different brand

I needed a laptop that was up for the work, and this one certainly does well. It loads quicky and is up for the multitude of tasks, including video conferencing and document and video sharings.

The soundbar +2 more speaker is amazing for a Laptop. Dolby surround!! the front camera can be locked for privacy. all the Equipment for that Price is great.
