Great Computer - Annoying Charger

The power cord is not standard or USB, which is very annoying because it has to be special ordered as a Lenovo part. 2.) I bought this laptop for my paralegal, who does a ton of high-end processing. This laptop is up to the task. The only complaint is that it is heavy. But we will sacrifice the weight for the processing power. We don't game, so I have no idea how it would do in that respect. But this is your machine if you are looking for a multi-tasking monster.

Great for college

He needed something pretty specific. Maybe a risk but it paid off. We had some issues with lots of pops ups and running down his battery. We purchased geek squad and after two visits it was finally fixed. It’s worked great at school too.

The battery is really good it can work up to 8 hours after one complete charge. The speakers in the laptop are amazing, and the touchscreen feature is a bonus feature to the laptop. One key issue but otherwise great!

The power button is on the outside /side and it sticks out. I was super aware of this and very careful but within one week of use, the button is broken and stuck so I can’t turn on the conputer. So off to the geek squad we go.

Regarding your comment with battery – as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and in laptops like this Yoga Pro 9i, that can increase even more due to their high-powered processors and graphics cards and high refresh rate displays. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the dedicated GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the NVIDIA Control Panel, enabling you to choose the GPU working mode. You can also take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even greater power conservation.
