I wish I got a Lenovo thinkpad now since my coworker waited and got a new one, but I think it's too late. The computer is nice. I can do everything I need for work on it.

Also, while in a bag, you're not sure if the power button is being pressed. I often brought this out of a bag to find the battery dead, after being sure I put it into the bag with a full charge and shut down.

We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience that this has caused you, and we'd like to work with you to resolve this issue.
To start with performance, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well. Another aspect to consider is if the system is under a stressful workload and shuts down, this could be due to overheating. While an updated system can improve performance and efficiency, please ensure clearence of air intake and exhaust areas under and at the rear of the laptop for proper air exchange to take place.
Also, there is a possibility that the power button is being pressed when the laptop is closed, powering on the system, but if the laptop is shut down, it should not power on without opening the lid. To try to address this, we also recommend

Great laptop, should buy!
