I couldn't be happier with my Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i. The performance is absolutely top-notch — the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H combined with 32GB of RAM and the RTX 4050 handles everything I throw at it with ease, from heavy multitasking to creative work and even gaming. The 16" screen is stunning — vibrant, crisp, and perfect for both productivity and entertainment.
What I love most is the flexibility. The Yoga design makes it super versatile, whether I’m working in laptop mode or using it as a tablet for drawing or presentations. The build quality feels premium, and the 1TB SSD gives me plenty of fast storage for my files and projects.
Battery life is solid for a machine with this much power, and it stays cool even under load. I also appreciate the wide range of ports — no need for extra dongles!
Overall, this laptop has exceeded my expectations. It’s powerful, beautiful, and versatile — truly worth every penny.

Interesting to see the RTX 4060 version with miniLED screen rated at 4.0 and this RTX 4060 version with regular IPS screen rated at 4.7. I think it is because the RTX4050 version seem to get 60% longer battery life for about 15-20% slower GPU power. And regular IPS works beautifully for non HDR work - better probably.
No perfect laptop. Biggest con is almost 2 lbs more total weight factoring in adapter and 20 oz extra weight compared to my LG Gram 16" 2 in 1. But well worth it.
Pros: excellent speed, far less heat throttling than other thin and light laptops, superb keyboard with 50% more travel than the typical 1mm travel, superb IPS screen (better than the LG Grams), best windows laptop speakers - just amazing, decent battery life where I can get about 5-8 hours of regular wordprocessing and web work, second hard drive slot (I have 4 TB in two slots), superb 4 years onsite premium plus care including accidents coverage from Lenovo is affordable when purchase of this laptop through their site ($225) and pick up at Best Buy at Best Buy prices plus one can use Lenovo coupons, touch screen works perfectly with passive pen, etc.
This laptop runs rings around the LG Grams - we have eight of them in the 16" and 17" of those.

Excellent machine. Beautiful screen. It's fast. The keyboard feels good. The battery life isn't great, but I don't use it away from an outlet that often. Screen is a bit glary.

By far the best laptop or pc I’ve ever owned. Battery is the only thing that kinda sucks, but that’s because the screen is beautiful that you’ll want to turn up the brightness. In my eyes, Lenovo are the ones to beat.

I got this laptop open-box, and I had it for almost two months before I decided to return it. The screen is absolutely stunning, the keyboard feels amazing to type on, the exterior looks sleek, and its power is great. However, I could not for the life of me get this thing to last longer than maybe 6 hours. There is no exaggeration in other reviews: the battery life is horrific, and there is almost no saving it. By the end of my two-month ownership, the battery capacity had degraded to 97% from 100% because of how often it was discharged and recharged.
Overall, if you want to buy it, and its battery life is not an issue, I recommend waiting for a sale or getting it open-box.

Hi Jeffrey,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you had trouble with your Yoga Pro 9i meeting your needs with battery life, leading to you returning it. We understand your choice and have noted your comments.
For some context, the Yoga Pro 9i was designed with power in mind, resulting in a system with a high-performance Core Ultra 9, H-series processor and RTX 4050 graphics which are a great draw on the battery. It can be difficult to strike the balance of unbridled speed and great battery life, which is why the system features software that gives way to performance when needed, and reserve resources when completing more basic tasks for better battery life.
We hope that you choose our products again in the future, and that you may reach out to us should you need any assistance or have questions.
Best Regards, Lenovo

Really good laptop, been using for a solid year now. I use it for college and it doesnt dissapoint. I can run just about anything i want as long as its plugged into power, off power it lasts maybe 2 hours. The battery wear level is right around 4 percent after a year of use but still runs great

The graphics are stunning. The MP3 play is stellar. The stock audio capabilities blew me away - I didn't expect the sound quality from the tiny speakers. The 15gb file transfer took 1/3 as long as the old HP this unit was replacing. I was watching TV and when I glanced over at the display, the Lenovo was finished. I thought something went wrong but, no, all files were transferred and the PC was waiting on me. Wow! The keyboard and backlit keys are the best I have used (30+ PCs purchased in the past). My first Lenovo was pricey but I feel it was worth it.

Amazing, powerful laptop that will give you all you need. I have the 4050 version that is enough to play most games at 1440p medium setting games with decent frames. 4060 I can imagine gives you more mileage and is up to you whether to buy. Speakers are some of the best I’ve heard on any laptop, honestly comparable to some $100 speakers I have heard online. Screen is amazing and beautiful, although no HDR. Only downside is battery, with battery life maxing out really at 5-6 hours for less intensive tasks such as chrome and 1-2 hours for something like gaming. If you are a college student or office worker who has access always to outlets, I would recommend. If you are a high school student without access or a worker who doesn’t have access to outlets as much, I would hesitate on buying especially as the time without outlets starts to reach 4-5 hours+.

Hi Joseph071004, thanks for choosing Lenovo! We're glad to hear that your Yoga Pro 9i amazes and meets your needs, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective and feedback with us. If you want to squeeze out more battery life, we recommend users utilize the Lenovo Vantage application that is preinstalled to adjust settings related to power and battery performance (to access relevant settings, open Vantage > Device Settings > Power). Dependable Work Laptop with Excellent Performance

I've been using this laptop for work over the past month, and it's proven to be a reliable powerhouse for my daily tasks. The build quality stands out right away. It has a sturdy chassis that feels premium and can handle being tossed in a bag for travel without issues. The keyboard is comfortable for long typing sessions, with responsive keys and good travel, making it ideal for reports, emails, and spreadsheets.
Performance-wise, the processor and RAM handle multitasking effortlessly. I run multiple apps like Microsoft Office, web browsers with dozens of tabs, and video calls simultaneously without any slowdown. The battery life is impressive too. It lasts a full workday on a single charge, which is crucial for remote work or meetings on the go. The display is bright and clear, perfect for reviewing documents or presentations. Compared to my old laptop, this one boots up quickly and stays cool even during intensive use. It's a great value for professionals, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone needing a solid work machine. Thanks, Best Buy, for offering quality options like this!

Pros:
Plenty of memory
Reasonably fast processor
Backlit keyboard
Touchscreen
Number pad on keyboard
Very little fan noise
Cons:
Narrow visual range for screen
Keys of keyboard take some getting used to if you have been using another brand of laptop or a desktop keyboard (but it's doable)
Short battery life
Unable to run Milkdrop graphics at all
Runs a little hot
Overall: pretty good. However, I already saw pretty much the same machine for significantly less than I paid. I'm not sure I need 64 GB of RAM but maybe that will be the new minimum in a couple of years.

This is a beast. Good looking, well built, sexy, atractive, handsome, beautiful, powerful, sleak, athletic, hot, etc., etc., etc.. Inicially I bought a Dell; very quiet machine, like a lexus, but boaring,I was not feeling excited to work with the machine. So, I know that Dell might be a better computer, but I just did not find the ezcotmemt to work with it. So, sent it back and I got this Lenovo, at least it looks much better, I though, but no, it is a real beast. Very satisfied with this.machine.

A Glorious Bargain Cloaked in Aluminum and Redemption
I do a lot of photo and video editing—4K timelines, color grading, the works—so when I stumbled upon this machine, it felt like fate. Originally priced at $1,900, it was marked down to $1,300 as part of an end-of-year clearance, thanks to its “vintage” Series 1 Intel Core i9 chip. But the real treasure? The NVIDIA RTX 4050 GPU, which absolutely obliterates the sad little 1GB vRAM custom chip that limped along in my old Surface Book (yes, the one with the spinning plinth platter—may it rest in pieces).
Then came the twist: it was a floor model, open-box. They knocked off another 55%, bringing the total to around $555. At that price, I would’ve bought two if I could. The screen? Supple. Luminous. A dream for editing. It handles 4K rendering like a champ—as long as it’s plugged into a high-wattage power brick (150W or more). Otherwise, it drains battery faster than it charges. Fair trade for this kind of power.
The chassis is metal—or at least convincingly metallic—and feels plush and premium. The keyboard? Divine. Easily the best I’ve ever used on a PC, and yes, that includes my MacBook Pro M2. The number pad has slim-profile keys, which I initially doubted, but they’re a dream to use. I can type numbers without even glancing down. Ritual efficiency.
Now, it does creak a bit. Could be the floor model wear—six months of curious fingers poking and prodding—or just the nature of a large, heavy laptop. If you lift it from one corner while open, you’ll feel a bit of flex. But honestly? Not a dealbreaker.
It runs hot on the lap, but the fans are excellent and the cooling system is robust. And here’s a rare gem: the display was actually color-calibrated out of the box. It even said so on the packaging—“Every screen individually calibrated!”—and for once, it wasn’t a lie. I usually spend hours tweaking color profiles, but this one was ready to go.
No BIOS drama, no driver chaos. Unlike the $2,700 Dell XPS 16 Premium I tried before this, which couldn’t even connect to Wi-Fi out of the box. I had to flash the BIOS from a thumb drive like it was 2003. That machine was a $2,700 paperweight. This one? A $555 powerhouse.
My only real gripe is the name: “Yoga Pro.” The hinge doesn’t flip. It’s not a 2-in-1. I guess Lenovo just decided “Yoga” now means “any laptop with aspirations.” Whatever floats your boat, North Carolina.

Bought two of these. One has already been replaced within 40 days due to failed audio. So far the same issue has not been experienced in the second unit. As a laptop the screen is excellent. The keyboard has a good positive feedback when used. It is somewhat heavy for a portable device but that is to be expected with a 16" screen. Battery life is short and the power pack is heavy and has low suitability as a portable device.

Hey JohnG,
We are sorry to hear that you had trouble with your first Yoga Pro 9i, and we apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused you. We'd like to work with you to help improve your experience with your replacement Yoga Pro by sharing ways to improve battery life.
With battery life, as you may know there are lots of variables that contribute to battery and with devices like the Yoga Pro 9i that were designed for top-end performance, that can increase even more due to its high-powered processing and dedicated graphics card. If you want to squeeze out more battery life and are completing non-intensive graphics tasks, you can utilize the MUX switch built into this model to turn off the GPU to greatly decrease power draw. This can be done in the NVIDIA Control Panel app to choose if you wish to conserve power by using only the integrated graphics processor.
Also, you can take advantage of the keyboard shortcut, Fn + Q to toggle thermal modes and easily switch between prioritizing battery life or power, or even the best of both words, along with custom settings configurable in Lenovo Vantage. You could also press the Fn + R key combo to toggle to a lower refresh rate for even more power conservation.
We hope that this information helps you and please reach out to us should you have any questions or need further assistance.
Best Regards, Lenovo
