Great build, poor pricing
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great solid lightweight laptop, battery life isn’t any better than my current AMD laptop about 7 hours with use of Microsoft ARM software. AI features expect voice to text offline translations are locked behind a Microsoft account meaning you have to log into an account to use it. The REAL AI features require a copilot plus (paid) account and even those features are currently restricted on this laptop. I feel that this is an incomplete product at this time.. maybe if this laptop was at a $600-700 price point but not currently a value at $1200

A "Slim" Laptop That's a Full-Bodied Value
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is as close to being the complete package as any Windows machine that I've used. It's the perfect combination: * Gorgeous OLED display that's bright and really pops. * The backlit keyboard is buttery smooth and typical of Lenovo's near best in class. * The build exudes a premium, sleek look, and the Cosmic Blue color is classy and a nice break from black and platinum. * It's a slim and light machine, coming in well under 3 pounds. It's about the same weight as the MacBook Air. It's easy to carry in a backpack. * The new Snapdragon X Elite chip is noticeably snappier than even the latest Intel and AMD offerings. * The battery life also is much longer than other Windows machines with those chips. * The trackpad is responsive and is an ideal size -- not so big that it crowds the keyboard and not so small that it's hard to use. I've been using versions of the Lenovo X1 Carbon for years. But I was never happy with the screen quality, the smallish trackpad, the limited battery life and the high price tag. This laptop solves those problems. The screen is stunning. The trackpad is a vast improvement. The battery has much more endurance. And you get all of those advantages at a competitive price point. All of that said, there are three things that keep this from perfection. First, the screen has a 90 refresh rate, rather than a 120 rate on the Surface 7 and MacBook Pro. That's not a dealbreaker, but my eye notices the difference when quickly scanning text. The trackpad is nice, but it's not haptic so it's not quite as easy to use. The port selection is limited to 3 USB-Cs -- no HDMI or audio jack. So, you may need a dongle. I'm mostly an Apple MacBook Pro and Air user and have been for years. But I need a Windows laptop for certain work tasks. I think this laptop has the build, keyboard, processing power, comparable (not as good) battery life and portability of a MacBook Air -- and it has a better OLED display. This is a superb laptop for the money.

Perfect for everyday use! Best laptop I've owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bottom line up front: If you use laptops for Microsoft applications, web browsing, email, video conferencing and content consumption, you should definitely buy this laptop and you will not regret it. This is hands down the best laptop I've ever owned. I was on the fence regarding the compatibility issues I read about Windows on ARM. However, when I really assessed my use case, none of those issues were a factor. I only use my laptops for Microsoft Office, web browsing, video calls, and consuming content. Everything can be done with native ARM applications. Any gaming I do is on consoles or Steam Deck, so the reported issues with gaming compatibility and Windows on ARM are not a consideration for me. This laptop is snappy, smooth and responsive. I've never had any issues with lag or slowdown of any kind. I'm one of those internet users that has a million tabs open and it's never been a problem. It boots up quickly from either a completely powered off state or from standby mode. One of my favorite parts of this computer and Lenovo in general is the keyboard. I love having keys with longer key travel and Lenovo utilized their longer key travel keyboard in this design. It has made this a joy to type on. I've read criticisms about this having a "diving board" style trackpad rather than haptic one, but the quality is good and I don't mind the old school tech for trackpads. Overall, the battery life has been incredible; not as insanely long as advertised but by far the longest lasting battery life I've ever had in a Windows laptop. For my use and as a nice bonus there is minimal drain on the battery when it's in sleep mode. One of the biggest selling points for me was the OLED screen. It is nothing short of incredible and I'm usually picky about image quality on computer screens. I don't see this mentioned a lot, but I am prone to the "screen door" effect on computer screens that makes certain OLED touchscreens (usually those that have pen support due to an additional screen layer necessary for pen use) appear grainy when looking at white backgrounds such as Word documents or webpages. When it exists and you can tell, it's awful and you can't un-see it. Though this is a touchscreen, it does not provide pen support to my knowledge, and thus does not appear grainy as if looking through a screen door. I also love that the screen is 14.5" and has a bit more viewing space than a typical 14" laptop without increasing the chassis size by much at all. It is lightweight but sturdy and super easy to transport. Definitely has a premium build quality. I've taken this on a few flights already and it's been great. It also generally just looks fantastic in the cosmic blue. It does pick up a ton of fingerprints, but due to the surface material it cleans up perfectly with some lens cleaner and microfiber cloth. My ONLY complaint about this laptop, which is not a big deal, is the lack of legacy ports like USB-A or a headphone/microphone jack. Those issues are negated by using USB-C adaptors, which I've done and adjusted to. However, I do often use 3.5mm jack wired headphones as well as a wireless keyboard/mouse combo that has a USB-A dongle. As I said though, it's only slightly annoying to have to use the adaptors and I've gotten used to it at this point. I can't recommend this laptop enough for everyday use if you're like me and want a solid, dependable and overall snappy performing machine for basic tasks. The Snapdragon processor has delivered a huge benefit to batter conscious light task users. Lenovo has absolutely nailed it with this laptop and done a huge service to Windows users.

The Do-It-All Laptop from Lenovo Yoga
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, let me say WOW! I have owned this laptop for about a month and have been blown away by the performance, battery life, and OLED screen. Let me summarize the high points: - Always ready to use. When I pick up the laptop, even if I haven't used in a few hours or days, I open the lid and it's almost instantly on. Thanks to the Windows Hello feature you are instantly logged in and ready to go. Seriously, this is the fastest resume I've seen. - Battery life for days. Part of the previous point about being ready to go is that there is always juice in this thing. Whether I'm working on it all day, unplugged, or picking it up after a break, it simply sips the power. This gives me confidence to leave the charger behind if I'm going on an overnight trip. Very easily multiple day battery life under normal usages. - OLED Panel - this thing is gorgeous. I imagine battery life could be slightly longer with a standard LED panel but this OLED panel is worth it. Images are extremely crisp. Contrast is excellent. Just like you'd expect with OLED TVs, the blacks are deep and pop on the screen. I'm also a fan of the touchscreen. I use it for quick navigation on the screen. - Multi-tasking is excellent. Whether I'm just running a browser (Chrome, Edge are the ones I've used) or compressing videos with Handbrake. It all just works. No issues with printing like I've heard others note. Adobe Lightroom runs natively and smoothly. - Ports: I love that I can hook up the laptop to a docking station and extend my desktop to 2 separate displays. Very smooth. Unlike some other models, this one has 3 total USB-C ports - including 1 on the right hand side. That's great for versatility for docking or charging (when you finally need to). - Weight is perfect - not too heavy and not too light. Very portable and easy to carry in my backpack. - Software - a little bit of bloatware but nothing concerning.

Battery life is elite, everything else is "MEH"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is pretty good, but not amazing. The display is quite good, although 90hz feels slow compared to 120, especially in 2025. The keyboard is very good, no issues there. The trackpad is not very good IMO. The click felt cheap, not to mention it should be haptic. ALL trackpads need to be haptic, there's no excuses at this point. Battery life on this is STELLER. Best in the business. If you need a laptop that will go for 15+ hours, this is your ticket. I didn't like the ports, or the speakers on this laptop, Both were subpar. The Snapdragon X Elite is SO FAST. Basically anything you need to do on a thin and light laptop, you can do. However, there are major issues with compatibility. Some features in programs just straight up don't work. For example, I use Lightroom + Photoshop. The "Edit as layers in photoshop" feature in lightroom just doesn't work. I tried BOTH the ARM versions and the x64 versions. Just doesn't work. Also the graphics on this are pretty weak when compared to something like the Radeon 890m or ARC 140v graphics in competing laptops.

Best Copilot laptop on the market
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenovo Slim 7x is a great laptop which is bringing windows into the new era of laptops with the switch to Arm chips. The Lenovo Slim 7x is a beautifully crafted laptop which is light so you can take it anywhere and powerful enough to use for most of your needs with a battery that just keeps going. When it comes to laptops one of the biggest buying points is the screen and this is one of the best screens on the market. The screen gets up to 1000 nits brightness when needed and for the first time in a windows laptop the auto adjust brightness works correctly. The colors pop and the brightness is more than enough even for a sunny California day. Even with the Slim 7x being a touch screen there is no wobble to the screen, the hinges are tightened perfectly so you can open it with one finger and have no wobble when typing. The touch response on the screen is great and I have never had to a touch not register. The keyboard is great to type on, the spring back from the keys is perfect and key travel is good to help avoid fatigue when typing. The backlighting on the works well at night, my only knock is that there is no dedicated key to brighten or dim the keyboard. The Trackpad on the Slim 7x works great, all the gestures worked correctly, and the palm rejection worked as intended. Even with all of that said I wish that Slim 7x had a haptic trackpad, it is one of few additions I wish Lenovo had added. The camera is a windows hello camera so it can log you in just with your face and it works great so you can take all meetings and look great. The AI background blurring affect works as intended and does a great job with keeping you in focus. Now the star of the show for this laptop (besides its overall built) is the Snapdragon processor and so far I like what I see. The Slim 7x is able to keep 30+ chrome tabs open (with chrome running in emulation) and the CPU usage is below 4% with all of the tabs active. I was blown away with the battery life when compared to other windows machines when it came to regular task (browsing/videos/Microsoft suite). Over all I did have chrome restart/crash on me twice but I did not experience any slow downs at any point. The Snapdragon X elite is a great chip and can handle most everyday task without issue. I tried to run a few games on the Slim 7x and lets just say its not for gaming, I have a feeling the issue has to do with windows. The reason I say this is I played a few games on it and did not notice the GPU/CPU/NPU spike at all, the only thing that happened was most of the ram was used. I found 4 things that I did not like about the laptop which I feel need to be changed to make this an absolute must have. 1. Fingerprint magnet. No matter where you touch this laptop you will leave fingerprints. 2. GPU: This needs an upgrade to help play games (I am speaking of games which are running in emulation) 3. Speakers: The speakers are not loud enough, now I get most people aren’t going to use for music without speakers but the sound does leave me wanting more. 4. Ports: There are only 3 ports on this laptop which means dongles….. Lenovo has created a great device, easily one of the best regardless of your OS preference or price. There is little to no bloatware and the small touches Lenovo has done , smaller palm rest (finally my watch isn’t scraping and making that horrible noise) , make this an absolutely wonderful device. Compared to all of the other X Elite laptops this is the one with the least sacrifices and the most premium in the windows lineup. Now everyone will try to compare this to Apple and it is very similar to the Macbook pro launch, great built with amazing battery life. Just like the Macbook M1 the native apps work and there is no fan noise at all. I would say the native apps for windows work better than the native apps for the M1 on initial launch, there is no lag to launching programs and having 30+ tabs open without heating up or crashing is great. Now don’t get me wrong the emulation isn’t perfect and there is work to be done but if this is the worst windows on arm is going to be than I am excited to see where windows on ARM will be in 3 months.

Fantastic laptop.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE this laptop. I upgraded from a 5-year-old Microsoft Surface that was on its way out the door. This thing is a dream in comparison! I've yet to experience any sort of lag once on the laptop's end. I've had website pages freeze up, but the laptop itself has experienced zero slowdowns. The display is so crisp, the keyboard feels and sounds lovely, and the backlighting is a nice touch. Coming from a laptop that was on life support on its charger, this thing can last just about 24 hours without a charge. It's super sleek, incredibly thin, and the blue color is unique with a nice finish. This is my first laptop with a screen smaller than 15 inches, and I seriously love it. I'm looking forward to traveling with it! I can say with honesty I've experienced no cons from this laptop so far. Wonderful product and I'm glad I splurged.

A Stunning Glimpse into the Future of Laptops
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x isn't just an upgrade; it feels like a generational leap forward. As one of the first Copilot+ PCs, it redefines expectations with its Snapdragon X Elite processor, delivering two game-changing promises: truly all-day (and then some) battery life and instantaneous AI-powered performance that feels seamlessly integrated into Windows. The star of the show is the breathtaking 14.5-inch 3K OLED touch display. With its fluid 90Hz refresh rate, colors are not only incredibly vibrant with perfect blacks, but motion is buttery smooth, making everything from scrolling through documents to watching movies an absolute joy. Housed in the signature sleek, lightweight, and durable Yoga chassis, the Slim 7x is the complete package. It's a premium, forward-thinking machine built for professionals, students, and early adopters who crave cutting-edge AI features, phenomenal battery performance, and one of the best displays on the market. This is the new benchmark for ultraportable productivity.

M contender
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this laptop as my main machine for a while now and it's honestly one of the better Windows laptops I've owned. Performance is great, it feels really fast and responsive for everything I do: web browsing with a ton of tabs, Office apps, Zoom calls, Photoshop work, streaming,AI, you name it. Startup and wake from sleep are almost instant. The Snapdragon X Elite chip handles all of that without breaking a sweat. Temperature is another big plus. It stays cool even when I'm pushing it for hours. No hot laps, no loud fans spinning up constantly. That's a huge improvement over a lot of older Windows machines I've used. The 14.5-inch 3K OLED touchscreen is gorgeous. Colors are rich, blacks are deep, and the 90Hz refresh makes everything look smooth. Brightness is good enough for working near windows or outside on cloudy days. The Cosmic Blue color looks sharp and premium without being flashy. Battery life is solid - I easily get through a full workday with some left over, which is nice. The one downside right now is software compatibility. Some older apps aren't fully optimized for ARM yet and either run in emulation (which works but can feel a bit slower) or just aren't available. Most common stuff like Chrome, Edge, Office, Spotify, Netflix is native and runs perfectly. The rest should get better as more developers update their apps, it's still early days for these Copilot+ PCs. Overall, if you're in the Windows ecosystem and want something thin, light, fast, cool-running, and with an amazing screen, this is a strong choice. It's the first Windows machine in years that actually feels like a real competitor to Apple's M-series MacBooks. Definitely happy with it.

Excellent laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is, simply put, an excellent laptop. The OLED screen may be the best screen ever used in a laptop. It's bright, high resolution, and gorgeous (and a touchscreen to boot). The keyboard is excellent as well, with just the right amount of travel and well-spaced keys. It feels solid in the machine and I preferred it significantly over the Samsung Book4 Edge that I also purchased but returned. I really liked the camera bump that makes opening the laptop easy. This is a great design that more manufacturers should copy. It also allows the Windows Hello camera plenty space so signing on is as simple as looking at it. The laptop is fast and for the most part, the Snapdragon architecture worked just fine. However, I did find that the print driver at work for a Sharp printer would not install (or at least the IT guy wasn't able to get it to work; I didn't try to troubleshoot it myself). We also found my work's VPN didn't function property. Ultimately, I had to return this laptop for those reasons, but if you don't have to worry about that sort of thing for your use case, then I wholeheartedly recommend this laptop to anyone other than someone wanting to use it for gaming.

LENOVO YIGA SLIM 7X
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x for a while now and honestly, I’m really impressed. First of all, it’s super light and sleek — perfect if you move around a lot or just don’t want to carry a heavy laptop. The design feels premium and modern, but still very practical. The performance is great for everyday use and multitasking. I use it for work, emails, video calls, and some creative stuff like editing photos or using Canva, and it handles everything smoothly. The screen is beautiful — super bright and clear, with really nice colors. Watching videos on it is a whole experience. The battery life also surprised me — it lasts way longer than I expected. I can easily go through the day without charging it. And I love how fast it turns on and off, it really saves time. If I had to mention something I’m not crazy about, maybe it’s that it doesn’t have as many ports as older laptops, but it hasn’t been a huge problem for me.

Slim, Fast and Beautiful
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally found exactly what I was looking for! I have been using this Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x just under two weeks and I am happy to report that this laptop is absolutely amazing! While I got it during a sale, I feel that is it work its retail price! The OLED display is absolutely stunning and the had a high NIT rate and up to 1000 nits in HDR. The Snapdragon X Elite is superfast and with the 16GB of RAM, this laptop can handle anything you can through at it. The keyboard is nice and responsive. The keys are spaced out comfortably, The material used makes this laptop feel very premium. I mean, I would consider the whole laptop to be premium. The battery life for an OLED is amazing!!!! Even better is that it doesn't come in S Mode and it's ready to download other applications outside of the Microsoft Store. The overall performance is smooth as butter and can toggle to 90hz refresh rate. I have absolutely no complaints to report from a hardware/software, design perspective. It is a finger print magnet but nothing a microfiber cloth can't take care of. No bloatware, so that was nice. Just a high performance laptop! I love it and have nothing bad to say. I would highly recommend this laptop.

Powered by the latest Intel or AMD processors and fast SSD storage, the Yoga Slim delivers smooth performance for multitasking, web browsing, and everyday tasks. The keyboard is comfortable and responsive, and the battery life easily lasts a full workday, which is a big plus for students and professionals. Beautiful, Fast & Lightweight
||Posted . The touchscreen is beautiful—colors are super vibrant, and everything feels smooth. It’s super light and easy to carry, and the design feels premium and sleek (I got the Cosmic Blue, which looks really nice in person!). Performance-wise, it’s been fast and quiet—I can multitask without any lag, and the battery has lasted me all day so far. I also love how fast it starts up. It doesn’t have USB-A or a headphone jack, which I wish it did, but overall it’s been totally worth it. Great laptop for school, work, or creative stuff!

What You Expect From Lenovo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike the other review on here, I find the processor, and overall unit to be excellent, as most Lenovo products are that I have purchased. The processor is FAR less warm than anything else I have used in a laptop for the past 15 years. Somewhere along the line Intel and AMD forgot the use case here was to use these on your lap. Not on a desk. The battery life is at least double of the AMD laptop I purchased that is less than two years old. This thing is Super Slim and lightweight yet still built as solid as any other high-end Lenovo laptop. I would say this is a productivity laptop and great for what most people use their laptops for. May you run into some strange use case where this processor doesn't work for you, possibly. I would venture to guess though this will work for 99% of folks out there. If you want to play games, buy an Xbox or a PS4, don't buy a laptop. If you haven't had a gaming laptop, they run for about 2-3 hours before you have to plug them in, and you can cook eggs on them at that point. All that does is degrade the internals. As I am typing this review, with a full charge the battery says it has 12 hours left. Not something I have ever seen on a laptop. It's about time we have some Windows laptops that run relatively cool, and don't have to be plugged in after 4-6 hours. They aren't really Mobile devices at that point. Overall - Build Quality - 10 Processor - 10 Keyboard - 10 Screen - 10+

Good little machine
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been using the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x for a few months now, and it’s quickly become my go-to laptop. First off, the design is super sleek and lightweight, which is a huge plus for me since I’m often carrying it around from place to place. It fits easily into my backpack without weighing me down. Performance-wise, it’s surprisingly powerful for its size. I regularly have multiple tabs open, plus apps like Photoshop and Zoom running, and it never slows down. The battery life also holds up well; I can go through most of the day without scrambling for a charger, which is great when I’m working away from home. The display is another standout feature. Whether I'm binge-watching shows or doing some light photo editing, the colors are vibrant, and everything looks crisp. Plus, the keyboard is comfortable to type on—something I appreciate during long work sessions. All in all, the Yoga Slim 7x feels like a perfect balance of portability and performance. It’s practical for everyday use, without sacrificing power or style.
