Great quality and sound. Packaged software is an excellent value also.

My external died after three years of hard use. I use it for my tablet and all things that don't come with a DVD or CD player, also my husbands died in his laptop died after years of hard use. It has flawlessly worked so far. I don't use the blue ray disks yet, but may try them in the future, as we mostly have regular DVD players right now.

This drive set up very easily on my Mac. I purchased aieesoft's blu-Ray ripper for Mac. It works so seamlessly with the blu-Ray burner. Love it! It is an outstanding all in one drive for the Mac.

This Blu Ray burner does just about everything. It makes good quality discs quickly.

I purchased this drive to back up some of my personal and business computers. I also use it to watch the occasional Blu-Ray movie. Super easy to set up and has worked with all the programs I have used with it. As I said earlier the software DVD was broken in 2 when I got the unit. I am going to Best Buy this week to get another disk.

So far I've only used this BR drive to rip my BR collection for streaming but I've had absolutely no complaints with it. Windows 7 easily detects it and I have been pleasantly surprised by the speed. I will eventually get around to burning some BR disc but right now I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Work without any issues plug and play, easy to use. Hardware looks good and my iMac had no problems in running the player.

Time is in the pudding. We will see how long the M disc last. So far so good

Does everything I need it to do. Good overall . A little loud but it's not like I'm suiting next to it the whole time

It's ironic that LG nowhere says that this drive works with Mac computers, since the drive is mounted in a white plastic case that looks like an Apple product. I only had confidence that it would work with my Mac as well as my Windows machines because other users had confirmed that it does. It comes with a Windows installation disk but works fine under OS X without any drivers. You'll have to google around to find software to play Blu-ray disks on your Mac, but there are free programs out there. Unlike a lot of the other drives out there, this one does not tie up a second USB port just for power, because it comes with its own power transformer - and another AC outlet is much easier to come by than another USB jack!

I like that it reduced the weight of the computer as the DVD player is rarely used anymore. I use my laptop for business and may receive DVDs to download. Only do this from home as the item is very large and bulky.

Some people have complained about this item being difficult to setup with a PC, I had no problems at all. This product does exactly what I need it to do.

my current burner failed and had to use an external burner to copy dvd. LG makes a great burner
