Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this on Black Friday, which seemed like a good deal because it was $120 before tax and the "normal price" was $279.99. I have actually seen it at the store for the higher price, so it's not one of those bogus normal prices. Anyways, I used this with my new Samsung NU8000 TV and it works great. In fact, sound started coming out of the soundbar as soon as I plugged it in! While the sound quality is good, the subwoofer is a bit weak, but you get what you pay for. If you want a BIG sound, you might need a $400-500 soundbar or speaker system. The remote is good, and it should be, because you might have trouble controlling the volume with your TV remote because there is only an optical audio cable connection (no HDMI for HDMI ARC or other connection). However, I was able to connect to the soundbar via Bluetooth and control it via my TV remote in that way. Unfortunately, I noticed that the Bluetooth connection needed to be re-established quite often. I am not sure if this is because of the TV or the soundbar. However, it's better than nothing, as I had read online that a soundbar with only an optical connection could never be controlled via TV remote. I hadn't tried to use the soundbar remote to control the entire TV, but I'd rather not since I like the size, shape and features of the TV remote.

Sound was good. Well at first. Certain channels everything worked fine, however during viewing of New Broadcast or Football, all vocies became nearly indistinguishable. After a few days unit would randomly raise and lower volume. The final straw before returning this was when it started to play music over the TV sound. Which is curious, since never hooked up anything to the sound bar that produced Music. Any device that give this much problems within the first week I can not recommend to anyone.

Misses all the accessories

When I got home and opened the box I was very disappointed that all the parts were not included. Drove back to Best Buy and returned. I still love Best Buy!

Unfortunately I found that the bass from the subwoofer was lacking. I did try and make all the available adjustments to improve the sound however I was left disappointed. I ended up returning this item for another product of similar price (Vizio SB351).
