I got this on a black Friday deal for crazy good price. I didn't expect much, but man, it sounds good for the price. It's wireless, so it's very convenient. I'm sure there are audiophiles that will turn their nose up at it, but for around $100, it sound quite good to me. The only issue is that it doesn't always stay connected via Bluetooth, but then again, I have that problem with just about every Bluetooth device I've ever had.

So I wanted to wait for a while before I wrote a review. I must say that I was blown away by the sound. This has been one of the best purchases I have made this year for the amount of money it cost. The only negative I will give this soundbar is that unlike it's early versions they no longer have an actual screen. This makes it almost impossible to see what you currently have selected. This is only a minor nuisance at best though.

Sound is very good, didnt take long to setup since I have an Lg tv, synced immediately. For $152.00 I would say it's better than listening to your TVs built in speakers. I would buy an optical cable just in case your soundbar doesn't come with one. Fortunately for me, the sound bar came with it's own optical cable.

Bought this as a "starter" soundbar since I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars. Turns out it's a pretty good value. The bass is strong, the sound clear, and set up was simple. If you're on a budget but want to treat yourself to a better TV/movie experience, go ahead and get this.

This is my second LG 2.1 soundbar setup because I have LOVED the first one so much. It is super-easy to install, has minimal fuss, and fantastic sound! I miss the two surround sound speakers a little, but for the price and quality this setup can't be beat.

i have not had any issues at all with this product. Easy to setup and excellent sound. I bought a different brand for another television which was a little more expensive however it was on sale. Does not sound near as well as this Sony. My mistake.

Ok I read many reviews on many different soundbars and was going to go with a Samsung since I just purchased a 55 inch curved tv. I went into Best Buy to browse and listen and this LG caught my attention. The sound was great. I never even made it to the Samsung. The associate came over to help and was super nice. Told me it was on sale. Explained how to hook it up and there I was making my purchase. When I got home, the hookup was so easy. The optical cord is included. The sound is amazing. I was in aww. I definitely recommend this soundbar.

Con-I bought this some I was told that it can connect to my existing AV receiver and give a high quality sound. However, if you can’t attach an optical cable for output from your receiver then the sound quality is not indifferent in comparison to our bookshelf speakers (not very old). Not having appropriate connectivity option defeats the purpose. Will not work with your existing home theater. Quality will be same as cheaper bookshelf speakers. Pro- it’s a very good speaker for those who have an old television where internal speakers do not support current HD audios and you plan on connecting directly to tv (no AV receiver). It is reasonably priced for the quality of sound you can get by connecting to TV via an optical cable or connect with your cell phone via Bluetooth. Pretty loud and crisp sound for the price.

I’ve been wanting a sound bar for a while now. I searched the web looking for one that wasn’t too expensive. I came across this one at Best Buy. I don’t by to many things on the internet, I guess I’m old school and like to touch, or feel it. I just want to make sure it’s really what I want to lay my money out for. I am totally satisfied with my purchase. The sound bar fits perfectly between the legs of the TV and doesn’t block the electric eye for the TV. It’s got great sound and the sub woofer adds so much when watching movies. It was a breeze to set up and even came with the cable to hook it to the TV. All and all, this was a great purchase.

Needed a good soundbar since the tv speakers weren’t loud enough in my new house/living room (more open space). This does a pretty good job and was easy to set up. I’m sure there are ways to integrate control in other universal remotes, but it is a little inconvenient to have to control the sound separately from the volume on my tv remote now. And the soundbar will automatically turn off after maybe 10 minutes of inactivity, which is good for power conservation, but also inconvenient if I pause something long enough while I leave the room.

This is my first buying experience for a sound bar, as I never had one. I was skeptical about, whether to buy a brand who are leader in speaker and sound system. But then somehow I ended up buying this one on Thanksgiving by seeing the price and rating. Believe me my bet on this paid up well. There is no matching with this price and quality. Very easy to connect. As I connected and played for the first time with full bass with reasonable sound first my 2 year toddler was surprised and then he started dancing. I got something extra ordinary with just 120$. I would recommend anyone to buy this product. Only improvement area is they could have given a good manual on how to operate the different mode using the remote control.

I'm a picky audio engineer and love this sound bar

I wanted to give it 4.5 stars because nothing is perfect and I think it could have a display showing some of the settings. But since it wouldn't do half stars I went with 5 because it deserves it. I dinged it 1 star on ease of use for this. I have several LG products including several of their phones and they have always impressed me with the value, quality and functionality of their products. With that said I chose this over comparably priced and higher priced sound bars for several reasons. I have been an audio engineer for over 30 years and a musician for nearly 45 years so I am very picky about getting good sound wherever I am watching shows, movies, sports or listening to music. It's important to me to have a balanced sound. I like strong deep bass with a balanced mix over the entire frequency spectrum so I can hear all the elements of whatever I am listening too. When I was comparing other sound bars I noticed that most of them had scooped mids. Probably because too many people in our society listen to hyped overwhelming bass and bright un-natural highs (Treble). The scooped sound makes speech more difficult to understand and removes too much midrange content. The un-natural highs are fatiguing to the ear and just don't sound right. The bass is deeper than some of the others I listened to. With the settings you can make it very powerful if you wanted to. In its price class and above even up to $500, this sound bar was the only one that had body and clarity in the mids, IMHO. It has many nice features that allow you to tailor it to your needs. The cinema setting is nice for movies or big TV shows but the night mode is nice for not disturbing neighbors in the apartment. The ASC mode does an all around nice job for just about any application and being able to adjust the subwoofer lets you dial in how much bottom end you want. For only a 2.1 system is has a very immersive 3 dimensional sound when in cinema mode. Overall, this is an impressive product for a very low price.

I’m not a sound guru, but this replaced old Polk Audio bar I had-the sound quality is superior to that and for me does a great job of providing sound to my living room with great sound-with the subwoofer (places about 12-15 feet away) it provides a very good surround sound atmosphere. It handles bluetooth from my phone to play music throughout the house very well also. The price tag was made me purchase this to pair with new Sony TV-it’s thin enough to fit under the screen so it takes up virtually no space on stand. Would highly recommend at the $125 price point you can’t beat that!

I bought this for my parents as the speakers on their tv are blown because neither of them can hear well. I installed the sound bar and subwoofer in 5 minutes. The directions are clear and simple. I would give this 4 stars because the extra functions, like auto on and off, are not easily explained in the manual, so you have to download the digital user guide, which while easy enough, would have confused my older parents. So if that were simpler that would be better, but because it’s so easy to set up, use, and because I do love the auto on off function now that I’ve figured it out, it gets 5.

I got this soundbar after Christmas for $130, which was a great deal. It is not quite as good as higher end models and doesn't have all of the features, but is has a good sound to it and does have three or four different modes. In short it will easily make your TV sound better, which is what you are buying it for. It also has Bluetooth so you can connect another device and play music through it. If you can get this in the the $130 to $150 range this is a complete steal. Do yourself a favor and skip the higher models unless you are an audiophile.

This LG soundbar is a very nice addition to my home entertainment system. Great sound, and excellent bluetooth connectivity with my iPhone and iPad! Great bass from the subwoofer! My only issue is that this particular soundbar lacks a display showing volume levels and the different settings when using the remote. This is the only reason why I gave this product 4 stars rather than 5. However, I've gotten used to it, and this LG soundbar is really a great product which produces excellent sound. Overall, it is a nice soundbar that I would recommend.

I purchased an LG television which didn't have the greatest speakers. This soundbar and woofer synced up immediately and is a great replacement to the TV speakers. I read several reviews before purchasing so was aware that the unit did not come with an HDMI cable and that you cannot see the volume level as you increase the sound volume. For the price paid, this is still a great buy. I also bought a Logitech Harmony 665 universal remote so that I can control the TV, DVD player, Cable box and soundbar with one remote.

This was the lowest price sound bar at the time so I was worried I had to be missing something. I decided to trust LG and give it a try, knowing BB would stand behind it, and it was PERFECT. It was a bday present for my 22yo son for his first apt with 2 friends. They use it as their main sound system with Bluetooth and he tells me the 2.1 surround sound is “creepy” in how good it is. I normally spend this much on his birthday but rarely do I get such rave reviews on my choices!

Pretty happy with it overall for the money. Sound is decent, subwoofer is nice other than the bluetooth connection. It has trouble staying connected here and there. I think our neighbor runs another bluetooth device and it interferes with it. it would be nice if it had an optional cable backup plug to not use the bluetooth, but that is the only option. So, if it doesn't work because of interruption then you are hosed and might as well get something else. I would buy it again though.
