    Buyer be Ware!!!

    Never buy LG refrigerators, absolutely no support. This refrigerator is 3 1/2 years old. Now the light in the refrigerator stays on continuously and the door open chime rings every 30 seconds, and cannot be shut off!!! This is driving everyone in the family crazy. Called LG service center, They charge minimum $400 to come and repair. After 3 visits over a four week time frame and replacing multiple parts they said it can't be fixed! and we have to live with ding ding ding every 30 seconds, and the light on continuously or buy a new refrigerator... Is that customer service?? Also asked me to put UPS tags on the replacement parts that didn't fix the problem and wait for UPS to pick them up!!!! They still charged the full service charge of $429 for doing nothing wasting my time. LG what terrible service and quality... NEVER BUY LG AND EXPECT SERVICE OR THE PRODUCT TO LAST!!!!!!!!

    It failed catastrophically in less than 5 years

    Stay away from this one. Just a month after the four year mark from when we bought it, one of the condensers broke releasing all of the freon; the freeze stopped cooling. This happened in less than 24 hours. The tech that came out on an emergency basis confirmed the compressor was working fine but the gas was gone and told us that diagnosing which portion broke, repairing it, and recharging it would cost nearly as much as a new fridge, and that he could not guarantee the other condensers would not break soon thereafter. Disappointment is not the right word, but anger is much closer. We paid a premium for this fridge and it did not last 5 years - and for full disclosure we are very careful people and certainly do not abuse appliances. Take it with a grain of salt, but the technician told us that in his experience, LG and Samsung fail catastrophically much more often than other brands (although not as much as Frigidaire).

    Stopped dispensing water after 2 weeks

    Had it delivered and installed 2 weeks ago. Stopped dispensing water today. So sick and tired of spending my hard earned money on products that don't work. I'll be contacting Best Buy tomorrow to get it taken care of. I'm sure that'll probably take a month.

    Nice but bad tasting water!

    We like the unit but we are still having issues with bad tasting water from the unit. It has a metallic taste if you don’t flush at least a large glass of water prior to getting your drinking water. We flushed the filter system per the owners manual after installation. Not happy with the product for this reason

    I bought this fridge brand new 3 years and 1 month ago. I have had to replace the ice maker twice. The fridge is now non working and non reparable. That is ridiculous!!!!!

    Dont Buy this Refrigerator

    After having this refrigerator for just less than 4 years, the compressor has died, needed to get an update that a repairman had to come for and the ice machine stopped working. And when we needed an update for the refrigerator it stopped getting cold. LG did send someone out to fix the compressor and do the update but why does the compressor go bad in less than 4 years? There seems to be an issue with the compressor in this series, hope LG fixed it for the new models but I will never get a LG refrigerator again.

    Purchased 12/23/18. It is now 02/26/18 and just called LG because it’s not working at all. More frustrating knowing if tech fixes, I still spent $$$$ for something that couldn’t last 2 months.
