I got this side by side LG Refrigerator for my mom her house had limited space so i seen this on the best buy web site an thought it would look nice in her kitchen an she loves it, I made a great choice LG makes great stuff.This Refrigerator is so quit an nice an roomy, for a family of 4 it will be perfect.

I bought this because I have a mobile home with a smaller kitchen. Fits perfectly and I love it. I never thought I would be able to have a side by side, just the regular freezer on top version. Thanks LG for making it possible for homeowners of mobile homes like me to be able to have the luxuries of those that have huge kitchens!

A month into owning this awful machine the drain was blocked and it took 2 weeks for a repair man to come visit. Then took another week for his second AND third visit. Fast forward a year and I wake up one morning and both the fridge and freezer are at 50 degrees! My wife has breast milk she works so hard to pump for our 8 month old son in the freezer and if we hadn't had a whirlpool old fridge in the garage we would have lost it all. It took 2 weeks to get the first repair man out... then 2 more weeks to get parts in. Thank GOD for our back up fridge in the garage.. THEN they had to reschedule twice! Fixed it and it worked for a WEEK. it's now sitting at 50 degrees. I was told the compressor was the part that went bad and was replaced. The water dispenser button on the from t panel is already cracking from use. We were limited to 33 inches wide because of the walls surrounding our fridge in our kitchen or we would have never made the mistake of purchasing such a horrible piece of equipment and service. Absolutely blown away by it. I will never recommend LG and will take any opportunity to let everyone I know who is considering new appliances our experience. 

This unit was delivered with a compressor line rattle that was fixed by a technician. Upon viewing the service lines he showed me how poorly made the unit was underneath from the fragile condenser coils to the plasticky linear compressor, the whole thing screams of cost cutting in the important pieces. It sees regular light use in a small, clean single family home that is always heated or cooled to between 67-73F so it's operating in a really mild environment. The cooling system failed after 1 and 1/4 years of ownership spoiling all of the food within. The cost to repair was astronomical and the service contracts proposed by LG are insane. The 10 year compressor warranty is useless because any work to the compressor requires opening the sealed system which means $$$ in labor and some parts. I was warned by the first service technician that LG and Samsung refrigerators are of extremely poor quality and difficult to fix. I should have listened earlier.

This model by LG has a design flaw. The lighting is inadequate. One ceiling light in refrigerator does not illuminate the entire refrigerator. Only the top 2 shelves are illuminated. Immediately after delivery, I spoke to LG about this and the first 2 support technicians insisted the refrigerator should have a light above the first vegetable drawer and scheduled LG tech to come to my home to inspect the fridge. A few hours later, I received a call from LG -very apologetic - to say they have confirmed the refrigerator only has a ceiling light and therefore needed to cancel the service call. They indicated they would forward my complaint to their engineering and design department, as they admit this is a design flaw. So - don't rely on pictures and advertising as they may be inaccurate - also, be aware that the words "Utility Box" appear as a label on the snack drawer. This does not appear in the advertising for this model. "Utility Box" to me means hardware, not food! I am returning this refrigerator to Best Buy and purchasing another from them and hope to have better luck with my next choice!

I've had this refrigerator for less than 2 years and the freezer has stopped freezing. Despite all the positive reviews on Best Buy's website there are hundreds of bad reviews other sites claiming a sealed system issue that cost anywhere from $500-$2000 to repair. Many of the systems still didn't work after repair. I called a service person and they couldnt find anything wrong with my system even though it isn't cooling. They told me LG was known for problems and they have yet to find a customer happy with their product. I was pretty much told I could buy a new refrigerator after 2 years or spend a lot of money with no guarantee that the issue would be fixed. Very disappointing, I will not be buying any more LG appliances.

Great refrigerator for a smaller space.We love it!

The fridge is barely 7 years old and I've already had to change the compressor once and now having issues again. When it works it's great but too many ongoing problems to recommend.

Absolute Garbage. Will not last! Do not waste your money.

Serviced 8 times in 9 months for ice maker failure.

Had this Fridge for an hour and already hate the design. Cannot fit anything taller than a 1/2 gallon of milk on top shelf. Really ! Too much hassle to return.

I have it for about a year now,it is so quite and fits in 33 inches wide space with no problems but after about 6 months of use ,both doors started to Have various rust spots ,i contacted LG and will see what they will say,still under warranty,but too early to have this kind of problem.

completely UNADJUSTABLE! Freezer can't even fit a frozen PIZZA! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Approximately one month after purchase the ice maker quit working. A repairman has been out to inspect, then back out to replace the icemaker. It worked for two cycles and then quit working again. Repairman came out again and is ordering another part. Of course I miss work every time the repairman comes out and I still don't have an icemaker. The rest of the refrigerator is great, but one of the things I was specifically looking for in a new refrigerator was a door ice dispenser.
