    I had a larger non-counter depth LG that was 15 years old and working perfect. We tried one of the units with the instaview doors, but it had inconsistent cooling and the instaview door was also warmer. That one is on its way back to BB. Wife wanted counter depth and I was nervous as I loved the space of bigger units, but we taped off the shelves to see what a counter depth would be like and realized we would be fine. It seems the new LG models the temp setting is overly optimistic and you actually run 2-3 degrees warmer than set. We started at 34 to get the unit up to temp and let things settling down only to find the reals temps to be about 36-37 and finally settled on 36 which gets to about 38-40 very consistently within the unit. My 15 year old LG french door was the opposite, the temp setting was the worst case number as if I set it to 36 the back items were around 32. Overall a nice unit. I wish there were mode adjustment items for the door bins as well as the inside shelves as it limits how you want to put things inside. The big plus on these latest LG units is the door bins are huge! I am a bit nervous as LG seems to be having compressor issues the last few years, but I am hoping the lower capacity of this unit will help it work less and last longer. The biggest complaint people have is the ice maker, well I never hook them up as they are the first thing to break. Also people forget they need to leave 2 inches behind the unit to allow proper air flow. Once mistake many make is the vents are at the bottom back and if you push this flush to baseboards you are restrict the back vents. Props to BB as their customer service is great, but hold times are crazy long.

    After having a side by side fridge for 20+ years, I love the French Door style. It’s roomier than what I thought it would be. Don’t use the freezer a lot & we didn’t have the ice maker hooked up. It looks great & perfect for our needs. Delivery & installation was great, too!

    Love this fridge! Quiet, quiet, quiet! Lots of room in fridge and freezer. Doors and freezer door open easily. Plenty of options for shelving.

    What i expected - our fridge was a cruddy old Kenmore with ice literally growing off the back of the unit... So this is pretty great because it works! My husband says fantastic job. The lettuc doesnt spoil in two days, etc. Low bar, but its surpassed it!

    I bought this fridge after reading the positive reviews in July. The first one of these leaked 3 days after I bought it all into our floor damaging the baseboards. LG sent out a technician to fix it and the technician said that this fridge has a known design flaw. There is no heating coil on the line going into the freezer/ice maker. This is where the leak was coming from underneath. They tried to fix this but within 2 days, it leaked again. After hours on the phone with LG and 2 trips to Home Depot where I bought it, I finally was able to get a replacement, same make and model. Within a month of the 2nd fridge, same issue. It leaked water all over the floor and this time the freezer completely froze up making lots of frost and the fridge could not get proper air circulation and so the fridge temp was around 48 degrees. Same repair people came out, fixed this fridge only to have it leak again 4 days later. LG said the repair people had to come out for a 3rd time to try to repair this 2nd broken fridge and is refusing to give me a refund as I have lost confidence in this model that it will ever work right. The repair people said that LG's engineers and technical people are well aware of this issue with this model and have received several complaints of this exact nature. Yet, with this design flaw, they are still making and selling this model. Saw yourself the 10+ hours I have been on the phone and all the headache and frustration of dealing with LG customer service, who really could not give a care, and buy something else.

    Notorious Issues

    Compressor and condenser stopped working after less than three years. Repairs didn't work and to get LG to replace it has been a nightmare (it's still 100% under warranty). Wish we would have done our research before as this is an extremely common issue and they even had to settle a class action lawsuit out of court because of it.

    Worst refrigerator on the planet. Only makes a small amount of ice per day. Ice freezes together and won’t dispense. Don’t be impressed with round “cocktail cubes” it only makes 3 of them a day and won’t ever fill the small bin provided. Worthless unless you like buying your ice

    Fridge broke, no proper service

    We bought this fridge a year ago with the service plan. 3 weeks ago the fridge has stopped cooling and the temperature is 60F in the fridge. The geek Squad came out and suggested that we probably didn’t shut the door properly..but this fridge actually makes noise when the door left open. A week after they came out, we have made sure that the doors were shut..the temp is still high, fridge is not working. Call back the geek squad, they asked us to contact LG who would send someone out in 3 weeks. It’s really disappointing. The service plan is useless. We have been a long time customer and hardly get good service from best buy.

    Do Not Buy!!

    We can't edit reviews so I have to write a new one. I have serviced this twice since I bought it 4 months ago. The ice maker leaks out the back. They will fix the part until the warranty is up then I'm out of luck. Apparently this is an issue with many of these.

    If you're looking for a fridge that in just over 3 years decides to stop working TWICE in a matter of 6 months, then have I got the fridge for you! And if you like to wait 3 weeks before the fridge is fixed with a family of 5 on BOTH occasions, then this is your fridge! The best part is LG will give you $250 to compensate you for having to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day for three weeks! Yum! Thank you LG! Life really IS good......
