I really like this fridge. Having the ice in the door instead of taking up space inside the refrigerated part is a bonus. The only problem is that the ice sometimes sticks together. To solve this I just take the entire bin out and give it a shake over the sink and it's good as new.

We purchased an LG Refrigerator August 1, 2013. On January 29, 2014 the compressor quit working. We called LG customer support who were very helpful, they sent out a technician on January 31, 2014 who confirmed that the compressor was bad. They informed us that because the compressor was on back order for ten days, they would replace the unit. Well that is where it all started to go bad. Suffice to say, several telephone calls and days later, they have no record of our service call. We followed up with the technician who stated that he would talk to his manager. Nothing. We have been living out of an ice chest for over a week now with an expensive paper weight sitting in our kitchen. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a Samsung, i wish I had.

This is a great fridge. It keeps food cool and veggies crisp. The freezer drawer is smooth and comes with an adjustable vertical wall in the bottom section to help organize. Recommended

This refrigerator was great when working. Four months after purchase icemaker stopped producing ice. The next morning we awoke to all our freezer food thawed. I understand there are issues at times and issues may arise. I contacted LG and they sent a repairman promptly. Told it was fixed but would not freeze for 48 hours. It did not freeze. Repairmen returned 2 to 3 days later and deemed unit nor repairable and entire unit ceased to operate. From what I was told there are issues with wiring harness in door with insulation that can not be fixed. Again I am OK with it at this point. Then the nightmare began with LG customer service. After repeated calls day after day to get authorization to get replacement we went nowhere. After almost 3 weeks with no fully functional refrigerator we were finally told that "LG dropped the ball"! Mind you that my proof of purchase and receipt was emailed to contacts given by repairman within hour of his second departure. Warning sign should have been when repairman stated if they do not respond to you do not let up. The only positive side to this entire LG nightmare was Best Buy. Once LG in their infinite wisdom decided to approve replacement of 4 month old unit Best buy was sent paperwork and we were contacted by them within a day to get replacement. Thank You BEST BUY!!! Not once did LG even make attempt to follow up or contact us during entire ordeal. Good Luck...

Outstanding refrigerator, easy to use and clean look

Above all its a nice frig. only down fall is that if you are going to use more ice than usually your suppose to push the ice plus button & its suppose to make ice faster well it doesn't. Other than that I'm very satisfied with my purchase

The energy guide posted with this fridge is NOT correct. I bought it partially based on what is posted here at Best Buy. The energy guide taped into the inside of the fridge say 752 kwhrs and $90 per year, not the $58 per year and lower energy usage posted on this website. Energy usage is 150% of what is advertised.

This is a great fridge but make sure you measure. The doors will most likely need to be removed so it can fit in your home. There is plenty of room and adjustable shelves are split for each door. The ONLY negative is that the icemaker can't keep up with our family of 3. $2K for a fridge is a lot of cash and I just find it annoying about the icemaker's performance.

Three year old refrigerator dies . Compressor does not last. Technician comes in, charges $400 and still not working. Customer service is horrible. So far 5 days without a refrigerator.

This is absolutely beautiful refrigerator at a great price. A tall water jug fits to get water, very functional. Smooth door operation. It is quiet. This refrigerator gave an instant enhanced look to my kitchen.

Absolutely love this fridge. I recommend if you are purchasing from BB to have them deliver and install.

Have had this LG model 8 mos and ice maker quit working 4 times. Simply toggling the reset button doesn't do anything. Had to contact LG to find out there's a "special" reset button (which is not easy to spot or get to easily). This last time, even using the "special" reset button didn't solve the problem. Found out our neighbor has the very same model and her ice maker doesn't work either. Since it's still under warranty I'm having LG service person come out to take care of it. Hopefully that will work. I had a very similar LG refrigerator (not same model #--they quit making it) for five years and I never had a problem with it. (I moved and left it at my other house in another state.) So, not sure why this one is giving me problems.

This is my dream fridge. We have had it for a week and I love everything about it. Especially love the finish. We got black and I was worried about fingerprints but this one has almost a matte black finish and does not show fingerprints or smudges like my daughters shiny fridge.

We bought this frig because it was the updated version of what we had previously and it fits our space. Unfortunately this "update" is a huge disappointment. The interior capacity is greatly reduced compared to the previous model mainly because the non-removable "Glide N Serve" takes up way too much room and is a tremendous waste of space. Items placed there are much more likely to simply be forgotten because you can't see them. With two shelves in use, there's no room for tall bottles in the body of the frig, and the space for those on the door is not adequate. Finally, the water filter - $50 for ONE! And very inconvenient to access if you have squeezed a shelf into that space, which you have to do due to the aforementioned problem. Fortunately the water in our area is very pure so we can do without. (And my frig didn't even have one installed in the first place).

Warning: DON'T TRY IT. Please do more research about LG product. It broke down less than 18months. A lot of people experienced same issue with the compressor, sealed system, and major parts. Their CSR is helpless and you are hopeless. They have wonderful CSR by poliyely telling you that you are on your own. I wouldn't buy LG again as I don't want to see people get into the money pit.

I have owned this refrigerator for 4 months. The ice maker has been broken for the majority of that time. I have submitted a warranty claim through LG. Repair service has been to my house twice and scheduled another 2 times but it remains broken and parts are on back order w no ETA. Customer service doesn't help. Total waste of time and money. Choose a different brand.

Bought this refrigerator in December and they have had to replace five parts so far. The repairman just left again today and I discovered I leak on the door near the water dispenser. They will come out again, but I have to wait till Sat (3 days). They are basically reconditioning my refrigerator that I bought for $2600.00. I contacted lg customer service they told me that they warranty last thru December and there was nothing they could do for me. The only thing worse than the LG refrigerator is their customer service. Hope this is helpful, wish i had read this review before I bought it.
