LG dishwasher

Not worth the aggravation

It functions as a dishwasher and does a good job. The racks are okay, but some of the adjustable ones don't stay in place very well. Worst thing about this unit, though is the front control buttons. It takes barely any pressure to activate the buttons. Even when locked, if you barely touch the power button in mid-cycle, it will shut all the way off and you have to start it all over again. Nothing in between. The sounds on the buttons are irritating, too. Do not install this in an area where people are likely to be hanging out in the kitchen and leaning on the counter. Needs caution tape around it while it's running. Very frustrating.

Poor excuse for a dishwasher

I am sorry to report that this was a very bad decision on our part. First, the third rack at the top for large serving spoons, etc makes it so that the middle rack must be mounted lower in the dishwasher and then the bottom rack must also be mounted lower. The whole setup means that the water arms must be so close to the bottom of the racks that they hit the dishes that stick even just a fraction of an inch below the racks. Another contributing factor are the racks themselves. The bottom of the middle and lower racks are poorly constructed so that the things like bowls with their curved edges stick out below the rack so that the water arm hits them, interfering with the water flow. Sorry to say, we are past the return date for this item and we'll have to live with it until it dies. Perhaps we'll get lucky and it will die quickly.

I think I made the perfect first choice. This is perfect for a 2 person household. I wash every other day, even though it has a half load cycle. Very quiet.

My main complaint is it's inability to actually dry the dishes. In our old dishwasher the dishes were never perfectly dry and I understand 100% dry isn't likely and I'm okay with that. However, with this dishwasher the entire inside is still wet and the dishes are still very wet. This is with the "Extra Dry" cycle enabled AND the "Night Dry" enabled. The Night Dry turns on the fan to circulate air for an extended period of time and even with that the dishes are still extremely wet. I would not purchase this dishwasher again.
