It is the best dishwasher I have ever owned, it does a good job, I recommend it.

Works good, doesnt dry items as well as i would like even when you select the extra dry cycle.

Did a great job installing but then noticed a bunch of dents on the inside of the door went back told them about it at Best buy and Patricia immediately talk to the LG representative and they're replacing my whole dishwasher for free great service.

Dry quality avarage, Once the cycle ends, everything stays wet.

My one star is mainly for the installation. First, the dishwasher was installed dented, which I didn’t notice until after the installers left as they kept the plastic on the front. I had to take the plastic off. When I did, I saw the dent. Second, the first time I ran it, a burnt plastic odor grew stronger and stronger until it filled my downstairs and upstairs. I didn’t know at the time, but another group of installers who came to replace it with a different dishwasher like 5 weeks later pointed out right away that it had been hardwired wrong by the previous installers! The electrical wires weren’t attached to the junction box, but were hanging out onto my kitchen floor under the dishwasher and the burnt plastic smell was from the wires melting the one time I ran it! That could have started a fire!!! I had further issues with the replacement dishwasher (those installers chipped my countertop by the dishwasher, dented my fridge, and installed the replacement dishwasher tilted backwards). I will never buy appliances from Best Buy again, or anything that involves an installation. Now for the dishwasher review, the one time I ran the dishwasher, the dishes weren’t all the way dry the next morning and there was a lot of water still in the dishwasher. Hitting cancel to discharge can help with sucking the sitting water out. It was also rather loud when running and extremely loud when discharging into the pipe under my kitchen sink, much louder discharging than the old Maytag that came with my house. (Having more drain hose looped down under the sink seems to help reduce the discharge noise on other dishwashers, so it probably would do the same for this one.) It was also easy to accidentally turn on when standing in front of it and working on the counter. It plays a little tune though so at least you know you accidentally turned it on. It was easy to open and use otherwise, so I am disappointed that I had to return it because of the horrible installation.

I bought this just over a year ago to replace a 20+ year old Frigidaire model. It looks great, is much quieter than the old unit, but doesn't clean dishes nearly as well. I've tried all the settings and use the best rated detergent pods, but still am left with spotty or dirty looking dishes.

My wife says she's in love. It works well, and the dishes are super clean. Installation was straightforward without hitches. The organization of spaces on all 3 levels is very well planned. The cycles for a quick wash are pelpful.

I really like the dishwasher. I have one problem with cleaning on "normal". The dishes are not cleaned the best. I have to wash by hand.

It's a good size. I like how there is a thin draw on top to place long utensils. It does make some sound when using. Some people hear a high pitch sound, but I don't hear that.

We upgraded to this LG dishwasher because we wanted to get something quieter than our current Amana one. A major reason we bought this one instead of something cheaper is because it was advertised as 48dba. But, while it is quieter than our old one, it does not come close to being only 48dba! My decimeter shows it to operate between 55-65dba! (and yes, it is flush mounted to the top and sides of the cabinet opening) It cleans just fine, but it is not very quiet.

Great dishwasher. Little disappointed that the Smart feature only works if you have an Android. May had skipped this model if I knew.

Washes great! So much better than the old dishwasher we had. The only thing that I am disappointed by is the drying feature.Everything is still soaking wet.

Cleans very well and that steam is a plus. I need to study the instruction guide because all the settings go for over 2 hours and it must be user error on my end.

Have owned the dishwasher model LDFN4542S for less than 2 years, and had to pay LG $343.85 just to come out and look at it. The motherboard malfunctions on many models. LG has been aware of the problem for years, see “Wheeler vs. LG”. Unacceptable. Will not buy this brand again.

Extremely disappointed in this dishwasher, it does not have a heating element to heat the wash and rinse water and more importantly to dry the dishes. I would NOT recommend this dishwasher to anyone. Who manufactures a dishwasher with out a heating element. . . It does a nice cleaning job but you have to run your hot water to scalding before starting the wash cycle. Another issue is the bottom rack does not have enough tines.
