I bought this mainly to use for my karaoke gigs. But i figured what the heck I'll try and play some Call of Duty. And it is leaps and bounds above playing in a television. Being as it's the only monitor I've played on I can't say how it compares to others. But i have to say for gaming it's pretty darn good.

I've had this monitor for 5 years and it still works great. Might buy one with more refresh rate since I am getting a gaming PC today. But, I gotta say that this monitor gets the job done.

This monitor provides a bright, colorful display. It is easy to setup and comes with the necessary cables. It is also lightweight and has a very small frame around it. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the stands. They are cheap, flimsy and don't hold the monitor steady. I bought two of the monitors and one doesn't sit quite straight.

Good monitor, had to play with the settings quite a bit to get it to look the way I wanted but the quality is solid. In general I dig LG monitors, and this is another one I would recommend.

I bought this monitor for my PS4 Slim. Monitor looks great as soon as you turn it on and FreeSync even works with PS4 due to the AMD GPU inside of the PS4. Great monitor the the price as well.

I picked one of these up not too long ago and it's been great for smaller desks. Simple setup and great picture quality.

Getting FreeSync at this price point is stellar. I game regularly (mid-range) and the ability to have a FreeSync range of 40-75Hz for less than $150 was perfect. Paired up with my RX 480, screen tearing appears to be a thing of the past! The colors are great and I have had zero issues with dead pixels, lines, etc that some other reviewers are mentioning. I do wish that it had a VESA mount, or at the very least a height adjustable stand, but that's not a big issue for me.

This was my first monitor I ever bought and it seemed fine. But once I learned more about hz, ms, and etc I found out this monitor was not as good as I thought. I think the worse part was that it's not able to be vesa mounted. Other than my own gripes with this monitor it still is decent enough as a gaming monitor.

I used to love LG monitors, but not any more. No problem if they work well, huge problem if they don't. Their warranty amounts to this: if there is something wrong with the monitor, one has two options. Either take or send it to one of their repair centers and wait however long to get it fixed; or send it back and get a "factory refurbished" one. That means either you will be without a monitor for hours to days to weeks, or you get a second hand monitor for the price of a new one. I'll never buy another LG product, ever. I advise you not to do so, either.

Everything is pretty good for the price (on sale for $179). I'd say okay "enough". Sharp "enough" picture, good "enough" contrast. The blacks and whites are more like dark grays and light grays. But for $179 this is a great monitor for students or home users that don't need a lot of frills.

The overall design of the stand makes this flimsy on a table, like I’ll type on my keyboard and it’s shaking. It might be because I’m using a glass top table, but it doesn’t look/feel sturdy. The Freesync isn’t that great, and I see black colors ghosting/trialing when Gaming... idk mine might be defective but I’m not sure. Them menu settings in my option are overcomplicated, and I can’t stand the knob you have to use to adjust it.

Two months after purchase, the monitor started to shut off and on again every 20 - 40 seconds, showing a black screen and turning on again. I checked the HDMI cord connections and unplugged/replugged the cords again. I called Best Buy and they said I could set an appointment with Geek Squad to have it looked at for a cost of $100-200. I called LG, and they will repair it. This will take 7 days to receive the box, 7-10 days to repair, and another 7 days to receive. Best Buy was unwilling to take it back for an exchange. Very disappointed. Total lost faith in LG and Best Buy.

Bought this to hook up to a HP tower with DP++ port only to discover that it’s incompatible with a hdmi to dp adapter. When I called LG’s customer service, their solution was to simply buy a Vga cord and use it in analog. I actually set it up this way just to play with it and was almost immediately getting hdcp errors forcing me to switch purchased hd content to sd to view. Needless to say, but that’s unacceptable, and had to return it and buy a HP monitor for about $20 more, which subsequently is about the price of a vga cord I’d have to buy. Definitely one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had buying technology.

I live in an older apartment with only 2-pronged wall outlets. I used a 3-to-2 adapter to plug it into the wall. For a brief moment the bottom light flashed, and then nothing - the monitor won't turn on at all. I tried different outlets and got the same result. I haven't had this problem with any other electronics. Unfortunately I had to return it.
