A year later the dishwasher would occasionally power on by itself and beep randomly. I had a technician look at it as it was covered by extended warranty as part of my BB membership. Unfortunately the technician wasn't able to duplicate the issue so no repair was performed. Fast forward a year, the issue has recently got much worse. It's now beeping and turning on more frequently, including when the dishwasher is on and washing dishes. Additionally, the control panel occasionally acs erratically - turning on all light (and "888" in time display). Of course now, the dishwasher is no longer under warranty. I contacted LG and they suggested performing a "reset" by unplugging the dishwasher, holding down the start button for a few seconds, then plugging it back in. This hasn't resolved the problem. So, looks like a repair will be needed. From what I can see on LG's website, they charge approximately $350 for flat-fee dishwasher repair. Very disappointed I'll be paying $350 to repair a $1,000 dishwasher that I've only had for just over two years. I should have believed the negative reviews I read!

It appears well built and has very clean lines. I hope it will last a long time. Quick note the top controls can’t be seen when it is installed flush to the cabinets. I will have to get used to setting the wash cycle before I close the door.
