The ice make is in the door and and has a very small reservoir. I use alot of ice and I have to make sure I keep it on extra ice amd stay onto of emptying it into the freezer. The water from the dispenser is room temperature

The compressor on the LG is much more quiet. However it runs more often then the Samsung and has a slight high pitched sound. However I still prefer the LG. Otherwise I like the LG feature set it’s just as good as the Samsung. The one thing that is odd is on the second drawer there is no light. Also the button for the ice and water feels cheap. Overall I really like it an plan on keeping it.
