A: No, in fact that upper freezer drawer is where you have a large ice bucket for your extra ice. The ice maker in the door only stores enough ice for casual use. On ours, the freezer setting (controlled on the left front refrigerator door) is at zero F but the first freezer drawer is actually at minus 8 F degrees and the bottom freezer drawer is at minus 10 degrees F. The refrigerator on ours is set at 37 degrees F, but actually has some places at 34 degrees F. The refrigerator section does have a couple of drawers that you can set for either fruit or vegetable, but it is just a humidity control thing..
A: Ours came without a tray also. We had a white refrigerator of this model that was 10 years old which we mostly loved and gave to our son. So when we decided to purchase stainless appliances, we bought the same model, mostly because of the two bottom freezer drawers. The new refrigerator has changes that have cut cost production. Examples: there were 4 shelves on the right door which included a butter enclosure; three drawers for produce that you could pull out the two side drawers without opening both refrigerator doors. This made the drawers more durable. Most of the shelves pulled out. We were disappointed when we actually had the unit installed. I guess we did not look closely enough, just assumed it was the same refrigerator. It is all about cutting costs.The main feature for us is the two freezer drawers that are just wonderful for organization and see what you have.

The flow of water to the dispenser and the reduced ice cube size are also indications that the filter needs replacing. If you already have water filtration in your kitchen, then the Replace Filter icon and other indicators that the filter needs replacing probably don't turn on or occur so it is at your discretion as to whether or not you want to buy a replacement every six months. If your water filtration system is doing an adequate job of filtering your water, you can remove the filter after six months. You do not need a bypass filter, the refrigerator has a built-in bypass filter...^IFV
A: The 27.8 cu. ft.Capacity 4-Door French Door Refrigerator, Model # LMXS28626S has a depth of 29 7/8" with the doors removed and the recommended procedure, when necessary, for getting it through a narrow opening is to take the doors off and move the refrigerator sideways through that narrow opening. However, 29 7/8" only leaves you with 1/8" of wiggle room for a 30" opening which may not be enough clearance to get it through. ^CP
Q: Does the two drawer freezer lose capacity by not being one drawer?
A: I don’t think you lose much holding capacity in my opinion. I use the bottom freezer for packaged meats and larger items and top one for frozen veggies & kids treats. This seems to work well for us & we were able to fit all items we had in previous one drawer freezer we had. I hope this helps.
Q: What shape is the ice that this refrigerator makes? I am not a fan of crescent shaped ice.
A: It makes small (approximately 1"), square-ish cubes. Be aware that the icemaker is fairly compact, so you can only make a small amount (about 2 lbs.) at a time. They do give you a large tray in the freezer to store extra ice.
