Couldn't handle power outages - control board failed both times our power went out and came back on. Tech said this is a common issue. First time was covered under warranty, but second time was 3 days outside of extended warranty and they refused to cover even though it was a repeat issue.

Shoddy product, worse support.

Wire in the door, that is not accessible broke, causing the water and ice to no longer dispense. Definitely a manufacturing issue. Called LG support. They had no interest in supporting their product. They wanted me to buy a whole door in order to fix their product. One wire breaks and they want you buy a whole door to repair the issue.

Having constant problem with mullion

We are constantly having issues with the mullion not closing properly. You have to close it very slowly to ensure it's properly aligned. Also, There is no beeping noise if the mullion isn't latched all the way in. It's a big energy waste if it's left unnoticed.

Cheaper to buy new when it breaks

Manually defrosted, still didn't fix it. Almost a grand to repair and LG warranty will not cover it. Avoid LG.

Poor quality from a sub-par brand

Don't expect to get service on it
