Great Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very pleased with this purchase. Monitor is very clear and the colors are vibrant. The adjustable stand is extremely easy to move up and down with one hand. It is a very handy feature because I use a sit/stand desk and constantly need to adjust the monitor height. One complaint that I have is the location of the wires. They stick out of the back from about halfway up and are very visible and look awkward because the back side of the monitor is clearly visible on my desk.

Good monitor for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this monitor on closeout for $370. Zero pixel defects, some uniformity issues (not excessive), average IPS glow. The controls, inputs, functionality, fit and finish and appearance are all great. The stand supports height adjustment and pivots vertically, but does not support swivel. The monitor is a great value at this price point if you don't need higher-end features like USB-C or hardware calibration (which in all honesty is generally so poorly implemented on the lower end displays that it's useless). 27" is a good size to achieve "retina-like" crispness at a useful viewing distance (30-36"). It works great in retina mode on my Macbook. Deducting a star for the lower than average warranty (1yr), the useless "gamma" settings (there is no definition of what they mean or do), the lack of an "info" screen detailing the input signal and operating mode, and lack of per-input settings. The "Custom" preset is theoretically tied to the claimed "99% SRGB" and in my opinion is the only usable preset on the monitor. There are many settings that will mess with the calibration for which the descriptions in the manual are worse than useless, including so-called "gamma" settings that have no meangingful definition and multiple "dynamic" settings that mess with contrast and black-level. Calibrating this monitor was a challenge, but it is possible. After lots of experimentation and testing I was able to achieve an adequate but not great calibration that mostly agrees with my color-accurate Dell monitor. Further complicating calibration was the need to use HDMI for my dual display dual PC setup. When using HDMI inputs one must be very careful to select active cables and adapters, otherwise the monitor will operate in crushed YPbBr "TV mode" instead of full-range RGB "monitor mode". This is not a fault of the monitor - it performs identically on both Mac and Windows in this respect and seems to be a quirk of the HDMI spec being geared toward consumer audiovisual applications. Because the monitor does not display input mode information the only way to tell which HDMI encoding was negotiated is to examine the poorly described "HDMI black level" setting which silently changes from "low" (crushed) to "high" (full-range) when using full-range RGB signals. It took far more experimentation to figure this out than it should have because HDMI compatibility features are so poorly documented. Again, this is the fault of HDMI rather than the monitor which apparently faithfully follows the specification.

4k for the right price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Moving up from a 1440p 24". I paired this with a new 1070ti gpu. it's very bright and no dead or stuck pixels. Theres a bit of glow in the corners from my preferred distance, but not too bad. Biggest issue for me is the menu button is a little cumbersome. Overall it's a beautiful monitor in both design and Pq, and well worth the $349 black friday pricing.

great but not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have this setup as my extension for a surface pro 4 at home. overall works great connected to the surface dock via the display port --- of note the display port connection doesn't seem to be very secure as moving the monitor will cause disruption in the screen image, sometimes causing the image to be completely disconnected which requires me to re-adjust the display port input (on the monitor side)... this is using the provided display port cable so I can't necessarily comment on whether this is a cable issue or a connection issue. The other thing is that despite great colors an contrast on this monitor, setting it side by side next to the surface pro 4 it is clear that the resolution is less, you can make out individual pixels when looking close which is actually why I wanted to avoid the 1080p 27" monitors. Still, this is much better than those, but just realize if you are connecting a device with higher ppi you will notice the difference

Great 4K UHD monitor for 4K Console Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is great for gaming weather it be on console or PC. I picked it up on sale for $349 during black friday. I'm using this primary for gaming on an Xbox 1X and it DOES display 4K @60Hz with no issue through either of the HDMI ports. You only need to change one or two settings in the menu on the monitor itself. And a plus is that freesync also works with the Xbox 1X as well via HDMI. The one downside I see to this monitor is that it does not support HDR but at this price point you really cant complain.

Excellent for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased our first one in July of 2017 and the second one in November of 2017.to replace an older 24" Viewsonic as my second monitor that we were using for design work. Having both monitors the same size and resolution made a huge difference. We don't use the FreeSync because I use a Nvidia card and their not for games anyway so I can't comment on it. Colors are good but not as good as with the Viewsonic but still adjusting them and getting better each time I try. Black fonts don't seem to be as black as they should be. but that could be a windows thing. While running at 4K, somethings are so small it's hard to read on some programs. I wish Windows 10 did a better job at scaling.

Not a Thunderbolt Display replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, the LG 27UD69P display is a beautifully designed monitor with plenty of useful features for both gaming and everyday use. The monitor is ideal for those who are looking for a reasonably priced 4K display that focuses on gaming features rather than everyday multimedia use or professional color-critical work. It's not an Apple Thunderbolt Display replacement for designers or photographers. The sleek and thin bezel design with extensive ergonomics complement the good image quality and solid performance and make for a great deal once all things are considered.

Amazing display and build quality, but ...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used it for 2 weeks, have awesome picture and build quality, worth every penny! But the unit I received had negligible backlight bleed and non-negligible yellowish tint on right half and reddish tint on left one. It was really bugging me once I noticed. It was very noticeable on whitish images. Maybe just my bad luck in the IPD Lottery :) If you could pre check the display and ensure there is no tint, definitely go for this! I returned it, and instead pre-ordered latest 27UK850!

Excellent 4k monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG is an excellent 4k 27 inch monitor. The picture quality is as good as some monitors costing much more than the LG. The only flaw I found was with the off on button which is located under the screen. It is a toggle switch that moves in 4 directions . For a simple button, it can be difficult to master. However, LG does provide on screen software. This flaw in design should not keep you from purchasing this otherwise excellent monitor.

Good 4k monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this as a second display with my iMac (27" 2017) and it works very well. Out of the box the two monitors were a good bit different but with some tweaking and using a hardware calibration device they are "acceptably the same". Monitor is clear and has plenty of controls for color etc. The stand is sturdy and it has multiple connections. You can get better monitors but not without paying a good bit more.

Great thunderbolt replacement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as an external monitor for my late '13 macbook pro retina which is my work machine. I was looking for resolution on par with the retina for thr tiny fonts i use in my unix terminals. This monitor is fantastic. No issues to date, plenty bright, though the retina goes brighter, and tiny fonts are super crisp.

Very good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on clearance few weeks back for about $340. Think I saved around $60 or so. I do like the design, build and the fact that I can raise or lower the height of the monitor. The resolution is crystal clear. I do have a hard time viewing items that are not in 4K and not sure how I can switch without having to go through Display Setting.

Decent quality monitor, looks good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the white base, and thin bezels, it looks and fits in with Macs, unless you have a space grey macbook. I wish it had no white plastic, but all shades of silver or grey. I also wasn't thrilled with the power button location and operation. It was a pain to turn it on and off. So not perfect. Picture quality? Super nice, and not too glossy.

Picture is stunning
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent picture quality and would make an excellent monitor for gamers and video editing. I would not recommend this for office work as 4K will make your documents too small and you find yourself magnifying your documents. As is, website at least for me is set at 175% for good view without eyestrain.

Almost Perfect Display Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this monitor - clean looking and GREAT display. Adjustable height and tilt is nice, but I wish there was a swivel feature. With swivel, I'd give it 5*. Also, Choosing between black or white would of been nice.

Good, but bright
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is my main screen for my home work space. We have four work spaces with different monitors, but this one is my favorite. Got the required cable to use 4K, but don't remember now what the cable is called. The only issue is the level of light if working all day on this monitor. Wake up the next day with sore eyes. Have adjusted the level, but I could be sitting too close due to my work space. Just something to keep in mind if your work space is a little tight. The monitor is sharp corner to corner, and I haven't had any issues.

Great for what I needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to get a monitor that suited my needs for playing video games on my PS4 and also where I can watch Netflix on my same PS4 and this monitor did the trick. Don't forget the speakers! I did.

Solid monitor with good 4k, but no HDR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor works well with the Xbox One X from a 4k graphics perspective. No screen tearing or blurring either. The only drawback is the lack of HDR.
