Best 4k monitor for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this monitor! Ive had it for the past month and have been using it on my 2017 13inch MacBook Pro as an external monitor. At first i thought this monitor was kind of laggy, but i realized this was because it was running at 30hz when i was hooking up my macbook via an USB C to HDMI converted. Once i figured out that I had to use a USB C -> DisplayPort cable, it started runnning in 60hz and it made a HUGE difference! Now the monitor is running great and im in love with it. The colors are really accurate which is important to me because i work with editing phots quite a bit. The extra 4k screen real estate is a huge step up from 1080p, now i will never be able to go back. If you want a very solid monitor for the best price on the market go for this monitor.

Amazing for Xbox One X and PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is amazing for the price! Picture quality, refresh rate, color, contrast ratio, and size could not be beat unless going up a couple of hundreds of dollars. I had been reading up on monitors for a while and i was waiting for he 4K 144hz from either Asus or Acer but once i found out they were going to be around $2,000 i decoded that this would be a better fit for now! Everyone should enjoy this monitor! I even plan on buying a second one in he near future so I don’t have to switch inputs between Xbox and PC My only negative to the monitor is that the high refresh rate and expanded color are not set as a default out of the box and require you to adjust it for the Xbox one X to communicate to those settings.

Awesome 4k Monitor for my PS4 Pro and Xbox One S
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 4k monitor does work with PS4 Pro and Xbox One S. You have to change a few settings within the LG display menu for it to display in 4K from the HDMI inputs. It takes a couple of seconds to do, then after that its great. Amazing fcolor and details on PS4 Pro and Xbox One S games. Even the 1080p games upscaled to 4K look so much better. It has two HDMI 2.0 inputs which means both inputs will display 4K in 60Hz. This monitor does not have built in speakers but it does have a headphone output jack to hook up external PC speakers which does output the sound from the game consoles using the HDMI inputs. Also its a flicker free monitor. Very happy with this 4K display and can't wait to hook up the Xbox One X (Scorpio) to this monitor in November.

Great overall 4K option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While shopping for monitors, this was my basic list of needs/wants/likes... Needs: - Solid build that will last 4-5 years - Color accuracy for design - Vibrancy for multimedia/video/gaming - Adjustable height - DisplayPort/HDMI/USB-C vs. VGA/DVI for high quality output Wants: - curved monitor (I liked the idea of a curved multiple monitor setup) - Small bevel for multiple displays - 4K for potential photo/video production needs Likes: - Swivel capability - Sleek look - Thin Profile When looking at a lot of options, I ended up bailing on curved monitors due to this LG display. To get the same specs this offers in a curved version was pushing over $1000 per display. To get everything I needed and most of what I wanted and liked for less than half that, I'm been pretty happy. I do a lot of code/writing work and the ability to Swivel this display vertical is really, really nice when the length of the document is a hindrance on the display and ultimately sealed the deal for me. At 4k, 150% zoom, I can view 125 lines of code at a time! My other 27in display (1920x1080) I can only view 50 lines for comparison. If you're a professional who does a combination of code and design, this really is a perfect option. Oh and the picture is incredible in 4k.. that's just icing after everything else.

As good as it gets.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor far exceeded my expectations. My son uses for games as well, and said he never seen anything as good as this with regard to gaming requirements, and the search for the holy grail of good graphics. It basically has no negatives. Fantastic design and performance. Worth every penny.

Great Affordable 4k Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor looks amazing. After using it for about 2 weeks I couldn't stand looking at my lcd (second monitor) so I went and picked up another one. It seems they go on sale quite often for $399.99 and for that price you can't really beat it. They're the perfect size, has 2 hdmi, 1 displayport, and a headphone jack in the back. The stock monitor stand that comes with it moves up and down for personal preference with great ease. Default stand also rotates 90 degrees clockwise for vertical viewing. I personally picked up a dual monitor stand as it gives me more desk space on my desk, again, personal preference.

Awesome Gaming Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd Freesync monitor and the difference between my Samsung and this one is hands down night and day. My display port would not stay connected to the latter, so I used HDMI. When I upgraded to an Alienware computer, I needed an upgraded monitor as well and I am so glad I landed with this one. The colors are amazing. My pics and videos pop like never before. My games run at 60hx at 3840x2160 resolution and have never been faster. There is not one thing I do not enjoy about this LG.

Q: QuestionMy monitor keeps coming up with a (caution) Use Supplied Input Cables message...Any idea why this is happening? I have the PC connected to the appropriate outlet.
Asked by Josh.
- A:Answer There is a small joy stick under the LG logo on the front of the monitor. You have to put your finger under that spot, you will feel a small joy stick which can be used to turn the monitor off. This is how you can turn off that annoying message about the input cables. This joy stick can be used for the input selector for the monitor as well as a menu for the monitor.

Q: QuestionI just bought this at BB for new '17 MBPro as 2nd monitor, along w/ older apple thunderbolt monitor, which works perfectly as it did w/old 2012 MBPro. but when i move mouse to LG screen, it slows and jerks. I'm using hdmi > Vitesse 4k hdmi hyperdrive hub.
Asked by cheryl.
- A:Answer I had the same problem. After doing some research i realized that the hub has be to able to transmit HDMI 2.0 signals, which allows for 60hz refresh rates. If it isnt able to do HDMI 2.0 then the picture maxes out at 30hz refresh rate. Most USB C hubs on the market currently are not compatable with HDMI 2.0, so you need to find one which specifically says it does support 2.0. Another fix to the problem is to get a USB C to DisplayPort cable. Displayport cables work natively at 60hz. This is how i fixed the problem on my monitor and it now works perfectly smooth. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionHello, I know that the monitor does not have local speakers but are there any external speakers sold for this monitor?
Asked by ExtralSeakers.
- A:Answer Hello. Im not aware of any speakers being sold for this monitor as in “LG” speakers specific to the monitor. I have this monitor and I use my bluetooth (Sony xb20) for convenience. I connect via aux cord so your choice on speakers will be very broad. Anything that will connect via aux i.e sound bars for example.
