    It does what it claims - lifts the washer so it is easier to load and unload the clothes. A real back saver, but a little spendy at $250. But every pedestal from every manufacturer seems to be the exact same price. If you don't care about looks you could just use cinder blocks to accomplish the same thing.

    When I purchased my frist front load LG Washer abd Dryer I also purchased the pedestal; therefore, it was only natural to purchase them again with my new front load LG set. They placed the units a the right height for ease of moving from the washer to the dryer.
