Had this for a little over a month now and it already broke and the sad part is we don't use it as much as the main washer.

We don’t have it yet. No one from Best Buy has contacted us since the delivery We need it ASAP!!! Please call to get it out to house.

Works ok. The fabric softener cycle beeping is annoying. Have to keep the pedestal open all of the time you are not washing to ensure mold doesn't grow and the washer drys out.

Bad item. Does not drain all the water which causes it to smell. I had to return it. I would not ever buy this again.

Not what I was looking for and did not get refund back for returning the merchandise.

Unit never worked from moment one. Flooded the garage. Got it for my wife and daughter and they were very disappointed.

It doesn't fit for a laundry in a second floor. It should be advise before to buy the product.

I have not received my item yet. Receive all the pedestal damaged still waiting for an exchange.

I'm posting the review for this item everywhere. I feel obligated to write this in hopes someone will find this useful. I spent hours of research trying to understand how it all works with the dryer and wanted to share my honest feedback. My story starts with my dryer dying after 25+ years in service. As I was searching for a new dryer, I accidentally came upon this sidekick (I didn't know such things existed) and immediately decided this would be a great fit for me. I settled on the LG dryer and this LG sidekick. I'd like to note that the cost effective LG dryers will not fit with these sidekicks! If you want this, be ready to cash out on a higher end model. Anyways, this gets delivered and the installation people are telling me I need T-clips that would go under the dryer, which will then connect to the brackets on the sidekick, and is the only way to stack this. I have a front loading washing machine, and I did not want this under the washer, so I started searching for these t clips as they don't come with the dryer (they come with the washing machine, apparently) I ordered part number AAA30793431, which are t clips for the LG pedestal. They did not fit. I'm desperately wanting this unit installed, started calling LG for advice on the installation. After wasting my time with their customer service for an hour, I'm being told it can't be installed under the dryer. Which is false, since prior to buying this item, I did my research and many people have installed this under the dryer! My search continues... and I finally find a video on youtube for the installation with the dryer. And guess what, the video is made by LG! If you are planning to install this item under the dryer, you need the installation kit TSTK1. This is currently out of stock EVERYWHERE, and I hardly ordered one with 6 week lead time. The kit comes with two front brackets that would need to be changed in the front of the sidekick, two brackets, that would connect the dryer to the sidekick in the back (securely stacking this ) and this other little thing that goes over the button in the back of the sidekick. The button needs to be pressed down for this washer to work and this little thing screws in pressing it down. One other thing I'd like to note is the y splitter for the drain hose that comes with the sidekick is soo small! It has 3/4 opening and fits the hose with the sidekick, but does not fit my 1" hose with the washing machine! I had to "construct" to narrow down my hose opening in order to make it fit! The y connector is also very short, I'd suggest adding in a bit of a hose to really put it down that drain pipe or it will splash all over unless it's somehow blocked on the surface. Oh yes, the sidekick also does come with y splitters for both hot and cold water but they aren't very flexible. They are 9" and stick out straight from my water connection. I'm thinking of switching these y splitters to the ones with flexible tubes, so i can tuck them down behind the machine instead of having them stick out. Also, a suggestion. If you need immediate assistance or have questions, reach out to LGUSSupport on facebook. They are much more resourceful, fast to respond and don't waist your time like LG customer service. I have not used this yet since I'm waiting on the stacking kit. I'm sure I will love this as I often have small loads. The only down side is it only provides cold and warm water. For some reason the hot water is not an option.

This washer has come in handy for an active family that includes kids in sports who need uniforms washed frequently (almost daily). My only displeasure has been that it needed to be replaced after only 2 years of operation. It started to leak water. Thankfully, we had an extended warranty and was able to receive a replacement. No extended warranties are now offered on the replacement, so we are left on our own for any needed repairs outside of the manufacturer’s warranty.

Man, wish I knew of a sidekick years ago…this thing is awesome. So much easier to wash those small loads.

Great item. I use it fairly often. Perfect for small loads, underwear. I wish the diagnostics system was easier to understand and use

This was a great addition to my laundry setup. I've lost count of the number of times that I've used it and run it a lot with the main washer. You can't beat it for value.

A nice little washer, but after ~18 months of light use (once or twice a week) the control panel died. At this point, I'm waiting on a service visit that will be $185 + parts from one of the few LG capable repair shops near me. While it's convenient, when the repair is 1/4 to 1/3 of the cost of the appliance, after such a short time, I'm not impressed.

Wanted his to be awesome, but not so much. -Super limited space even for what you would expect. Seriously small. Maybe one pair of jeans, and that's cutting it close. -Doesn't clean that well. - Have to put soap directly on clothes. I don't want to do that on my delicates. - Have to put precisely the right amount of soap or won't rinse out, leaving soap spots. - have to wait for beeping mid-cycle to manually pour softener in. Again, goes directly on your clothes. -if you miss the beeping for softener, you don't get softener in your load. Wish I could put the softener in a compartment and have it automatically add it. -cycles are pretty long -Tub gets very stinky. - Side note- the first one was defective and had to be replaced with super bad delivery process. And I mean bad...a month bad. It is cool for washing bras at the same time as other clothes are going. That alone is pretty cool. I borderline recommend this product if you're not that price sensitive. I bet a 2nd generation product will be better.
